The sun rose angry and red, turning the morning sky different shades of crimson and gold. Today was the day my sister Andie and I were flying to South Korea for a long awaited vacation. Neither of us got much sleep the night before as we stayed up late taking about BTS and our trip. Even though our flight wasn't until 10:45am, I had set the alarm for 6am so we would not be rushed.
Once we were dressed and showered, we enjoyed breakfast and talked about everything we planned on doing during our trip. We would be gone for 10 days and hoped we would see BTS as we knew they were home in Korea getting ready for their concert in 2 days time. We scored 2 tickets right beside the stage extension and had a Canadian flag to give to them at the concert. Hopefully we would get the chance to hand it to either JHope or Suga.
At 9am the cab arrived to take us to our flight. We decided that this trip was 100% BTS related, so we would fly first class like the guys would. Once we arrived at the airport we grabbed our luggage and made our way through the security checks and into the waiting lounge. The flight would take 16 hours because it was 9040 km to Seoul and we planned on sleeping most of the way.
As we arrived in Seoul our excitement rose. Once we got off the plane, we made our way through the terminal to the luggage claim area. We grabbed our luggage and headed outside to the cabs. We hailed one and headed to the hotel.
Everything was going great until we got to the hotel, only to find that the had lost our reservation! Thankfully I saved the e-mail with my confirmation number from when I booked the room. Seeing as the hotel was fully booked and it was the hotel's mistake, they found us another room at a hotel across town. They even covered transportation to the other hotel, which turned out to be a limousine!
When we arrived at the other hotel we were shocked that it was not only a 5 star hotel, but also across the street from the HYBE building!! We checked into the hotel and were given a black key card. We were told to put it in the top slot in the elevator. So we got in the elevator and did as we were instructed. Before we knew it we were on our way to our room. We hoped it would have a view of the HYBE building.
Boy, did we get a surprise when the doors opened and we were in the Penthouse Suite! I was positive there had been a mistake, so I returned to the lobby to find out. The concierge at the front desk informed me that there was no mistake. The other hotel not only booked us into that room, but paid for our stay as well! I was shocked to say the least.
