Hornet dodged the barrage of bullets from Zuikaku's Zero which had sharply dived. Just a moment ago, they were ambushed by the Fifth Carrier Division and now only Hornet were standing.
Hamman, one of the members of the Hornet fleet was lying in the sea while her eyes were rolling, Helena who was with them could only provide anti-air support fire.
Hornet tipped her hat and flew some of her B-25s and dropped the bombs at Zuikaku and Shoukaku. Zuikaku miraculously dodged multiple bombs from the Hornet's bombers and slashed one of them in half and exploded behind them.

Nagato arrived before Hornet with Wakizashi in her right hand and the CIWS Phalanx in her left arm. Zuikaku widened her eyes in disbelief at what she saw, but before she could finish speaking, all of Nagato's cannons let out smoke and dozens of AP shells almost hit Zuikaku, fortunately Zuikaku managed to dodge at the last second.
Zuikaku : L-Lady Nagato!-
Zuikaku was immediately showered with hot lead from Nagato's CIWS, hundreds of bullets that Nagato fired hit various bodies of Zuikaku, although Zuikaku managed to slash several. Zuikaku fell to her knees with her Katana as her support.

Zuikaku shouted desperately. Nagato only raised her eyebrows and kept her Wakizashi.

Zuikaku fell silent and put on a disbelieving face.
Zuikaku : What... Is that also the reason you disappeared all this time?! Siding with the Unions and leaving us under Lady Yamato's leadership?!

Nagato smiled widely and approached Zuikaku and hugged her. And Nagato whispered something in Zuikaku's ear which made her both surprised and confused.
