I was setting the table while Maliyah was putting the food onto the table when I heard a knock at the door ..
Jahliyah's POV
I knocked && waited a few seconds before sum1 answered the door
"He-" but instead of seeing Kel, I seen this girl .. she wasn't very good looking
"Uhm excuse me" I say pushing her outta the way to Kel who was setting the table, I heard her mumble sum but clearly if she wanted me to hear her she'd say it louder.
I gave him a hug, "who dat is?" I whispered into his ear
"I'll explain when we get the food out" he said hugging me back
"Okay" I say letting him go, I set my purse down && pick up Amir who was laying on the kitchen floor playing dead ..
"Amiryahhh!" I say picking her up, she opened her eyes then closed them back
"Here u go" I say placing her into her high chair
I took my seat by her && Kel sat across from me && the girl sat by Amir
"Ok, who dis is" I say pointing to the girl
"That's Maliyah, && Maliyah this Jahliyah" Kel said
"Oh ok" I say grabbing a hamburger bun && a patty
"That was a lil rude don't u think" the girl, I think he said her name was Mariah said
"Grl" I say helping Amir open the bag of chips she was struggling to open
"What?" Mariah looked up at me
I didn't answer, I added ketchup to my burger && grabbed a bag of chips
"Hold on y'all imma b right back" Kel said grabbing his ringing phone
"What's yo relation to him" I ask Mariah
"Why does that concern u" she asked
"Answer the question Mariah" I say
"Maliyah" she corrected
"Same difference Mariah, answer the question" I say
"Not until u say my name right"
"Bitch u bein real petty, ill drag yo bitch ass all throughout this complex if I got to jus tah get the answer outta u" I say
"Am I supposed to b scared?" Mariah asked putting her burger down to eat a chip
"Who said that shit?" I asked looking at her
"Oh ok, answer the question" I say
"Why does it matter to u what me && him is tho?" She asked
I thought for a moment, "because I'm his girlfriend, now answer it Mariah" I say
"What?" She finally looked up at me
"Bitch u heard me, what's yo relationship w him" I say again
"He ain't tell me he had a girlfriend" Mariah said putting her chips down
"Yeah, what's yo relation w him" I try again
"U know what, imma just get my stuff && go .." she said standing && walking to the kitchen
"Where u finna go?" Kel asked coming back into the dining room
"Well Ian Kno u had a girlfriend so I'm going to grab my stuff before a problem starts" Mariah said putting another paper plate on top of her other paper plate
"What girlf-" he looked at me
"Oh my goodness .." he looked back at Mariah then at me
"Yeah I did , what bout it?" I said taking a bite out of my burger
"Aye Maliyah hollon" Kel said walking out the door with her
"No, it's okay Kel, I'll catch u later" Mariah said walking out the door, Kel followed right behind.
Idk why he so pressed onto getting this bitch to listen to him, but wtv the reason is she ain't that cute for it.
Kel's POV
"Mayne just hollon" I say walking behind Maliyah
"No, I clearly looked u the wrong way. You had a girlfriend while this whole time I was thinking we could possibly work, shits dead." she said unlocking her car door
"That ain't my girlfriend, what she even say to u?"
"So if she ain't your girlfriend what is she then?? Why do you have a female here while I'm here??" She asked
"That's my bestfriend and this my house I can have anyone here when I feel like it" I say
"Well since she's here I'm leaving, call me when she leaves." Maliyah started the car && backed out the parking space while I walked back into my complex
"Yooo why'd you do that Ja??" I say looking at her helping feed Amir
"Cus I wanted to know y'all relationship and the bitch was actin selfish so I was like fuck it I'm now ya girlfriend" she shrugged
"Why'd you do that tho. You coulda asked me and I woulda told u" I say sitting back down
"Too much work" she smiled at me and ate her burger
"Yeah ight. You staying here tonight??" I asked
"Prolly not, got shit to do" she replied
"Ok"
"Koo, I'm gone" Jahliyah stood up && wrapped her plate up
"Jaaa!" Amir had whined out so Jahliyah turned back around
"Yes?" She took Amir out her high chair && sat down with her
Amir stayed silent and continued drinking out her bottle
"Okay well I'm gonna go" she gave Amir a kiss and handed me her
"Ight drive safe" I say getting up to watch her get into her car
"Yeah y'all stay safe too" she gave both us a hug and walked out the door and got into her car. I stood at the door and made sure she pulled off safely, once I seen she did I shut the door and went into the kitchen to start cleaning up
"Daddyyyy" Amir dragged she was laying on the living room floor watching tv
"Yes?"
"Food?" She pulled herself up by using the coffee table and tried to walk but ended up falling on her butt
"You okay?" I ask her going to pick her up, I also pick up my phone and see 3 texts from Maliyah
iMessage with Maliyah .

" I love you Amiryah" I give her a hug, she only have me a mumbled word and I took that as her saying she loves me too.
