we ordered our burgers at the front and got our number. ash, because he's a child, of course, asked for number 69. anything ash asks for, he receives, so now I'm sitting at a table with the number 69 by my side.
ash was snickering as I put my head into my head in embarrassment. the smell of fake grease was a drag to Americans, especially me. in fact, I was so annoyed that I didn't even hear when my brother was trying to get my attention.
"charli! bitch, stop daydreaming it's not going to work. there's a great opportunity in front of us." ash flicked my forehead, causing me to flinch and wake up. instead of my brother in front of me, there was an incredibly handsome man.
"uh, well hello there handsome." I laughed and turned to ash questioning why he was there. he only shook his head in disappointment with my introduction.
"thank you, gorgeous. anyway, I can tell you're confused. your brother, he plays bass, correct?" I nodded my head as he continued, "right and you sing according to your brother. I'm pretty much desperate for two members in my band, so I'd like you guys to join." he said with a smile on his face.
"I told him we'd love to, obviously you missed that too." ash rolled his eyes in my direction and I stuck my tongue out at him.
"I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name. I would love to join though." I asked politely. maybe this was just a curse on me, I had just said I didn't want to be in a band. but maybe this is the best opportunity I'll get.
"will, my friends call me wilbur. you are?" he stuck his hand out for me to shake, which I gladly accepted.
"nice to meet you wilbur, I'm charlotte, my friends call me charli." I said finishing up the handshake.
"hi charli"
"hi wilbur."
"hi ash" ash said in a sad tone. I punched his arm in return.
I can tell me and this wilbur guy are going to be great friends.
bonus, he's also handsome.
