Madagascar
Emerald leaned on a wall beside Bond watching the crowd below, her eyes rested for a moment on the young agent Carter. She mentally wondered why they had been stuck with the young idiot who clearly had no field experience. James looked to his partner and grinned after working together for nearly a year and a half he had learned to read her rather well.
"Don't kill him, he is on our side" He said with a smirk, his partner rolled her eyes but the small smile that appeared on her face made James know she thought it was funny.
Suddenly Carter's voice cut through the noise of the screaming crowd "Looks like our man. Burn scars on his face."
Emerald's eyes moved to the person they had been watching as Bond quipped "I wonder if bomb-makers are insured for things like that."
Emerald smirked "Life comes at you fast," She said in a deep voice making Bond roll his eyes at her love of quoting random commercials and movies. Below Carter began panicking
"He's on the move. He's on the move, and he's heading straight for me."
Emerald frowned "His ear."
"Stop touching your ear." Bond said through his earpiece
"Sorry?" Carter asked
"Put your hand down." It was too late the bomb maker had seen the young agent and Emerald growled in annoyance as she saw the boy draw his weapon. "Holster the stupid weapon, Carter. We need him alive." She said into the comm in annoyance, but the boy instead fell into the pit where a snake was fighting a weasel.
Beside her James shook his head and took off running after the bomb maker, she groaned and took off after him, how she hated running. James was fast, probably the fastest agent Emerald had ever worked with, Emerald hated running she was definitely a sprinter, not a long-distance runner.
She came to a construction site and looked around trying to locate her partner, she noticed a couple of construction workers looking up and she followed their gaze. High above them on a crane two figures were fighting each other
She spoke into her earpiece "James, tell me that's not you" when no answer came she sighed that was definitely him. She watched in horror as the figure she was pretty sure was her partner almost fell off the crane but managed to catch themselves. Not long after the bomber jumped and Emerald ran forward to try and catch him, she was on his tail when suddenly a body tumbled down on top of her.
"Ouch..." She opened her eyes to find James staring down at her obviously in pain himself "Buddy, you need to lose a couple of pounds.. Now get off of me!"
"Muscle weighs more than fat love" James muttered as he rolled off of her and the two quickly took off running after the bomber again. But this time Emerald came to a stop breathing heavily outside the construction site and grinned when she saw a motorcycle... A gift from the heavens!
As she drove, she spoke to her partner "Bond, where are you?"
Her partner answered in a disgruntled tone "He went in the Nambutu Embassy."
Emerald sighed, that meant diplomatic immunity "That's it then huh?" No answer came and Emerald frowned "James, whatever your thinking, don't even think it.... James! James!"
She circled the embassy and almost froze when she heard an explosion, Oh, they were so dead. Suddenly a figure hopped on the back of her motorcycle and wrapped its hands around her waist. She didn't bother looking back just removed the helmet she had stolen from the handlebar and passed it back to her partner who placed it on his head.
