The other night was a miserable failure of a night out. Alex had invited the group to a Halloween party at a local club that ended in a bar fight, a broken nose, and with the help of security, being thrown out after the police were called. Skylar had felt horrible ruining yet another Halloween party for Freya. Last year he ended up drinking his weight in mama juana, which usually wasn't a problem, but failing to fill up beforehand resulted in him throwing it up... on her costume.
On the way home from the hospital after the club incident, Freya had screamed in his face and occasionally hit him for a couple of hours. It reminded him of his relationship with his ex, Raquel, but he quickly pushed that thought as far away as possible. He didn't say too much back but while trying to lighten the mood he only fueled her anger.
By now she had obviously calmed down and was losing interest in the whole ordeal but Skylar, being sensitive towards the people he cared for, still felt guilty even if he technically didn't start the fight. Being that was his nature, he wanted to make it up to her.
He sat up in bed with a brilliant idea. Having known Freya for a little over five years now he knew how to make it up to her and she would most definitely be pleased, so long as everything went right.
Skylar snatched his phone from the nightstand quickly texting Ty to meet with him in his room. He was going to need help.
He jumped up grabbing a clean shirt and pulling it on over the dread bun atop his head. Within the next few minutes the door opened and Ty made his entrance.
"What's so urgent?"
"Well," Skylar started, "Considering Freya is still pissed off I wanted to kind of say sorry by throwing another party."
"Is that really a good idea?"
"Yes, we'll do it here so things will be a little more under control... Don't look at me like that."
Ty shook his head as if coming back from a daydream, "Sorry I was distracted by your lopsided nose from the last responsible party we attended."
"I'm being serious! We party here all the time, what's the difference?"
Ty sat on the bed, "We have get-togethers and hang out and drink with our group. If this is a party I'm sure everyone is going invite everyone. Two rival teams in one room? You think you can handle that?"
"Come on, I'm Dominican not Dominican't..." Skylar held up his hands in defense, "Ok seriously, I promise, everything will be fine. I'll even stay sober-ish to babysit. I just need your help getting everyone and everything together and keeping it a surprise for her."
Ty sighed, "Ok, I'll help. It'll be nice to see her in a better mood compared to the last few days. But, if anything goes wrong-"
"I know! I know, it'll be my fault. Let's go and recruit people. We're not doing this alone."

Skylar and Ty went about the lodge asking people to handle certain things. Kaori, Elise, and Alex agreed to get decorations and set up, Vaal and Psymon went to purchase the alcohol, and Eve said she would take Freya out for the day so it could be a surprise for when they returned. She had a plan to say they were attending a Halloween themed party elsewhere and would stop back to change.
The girls left for lunch and an afternoon of shopping a few hours ago and the decorations were being hung and placed. Skylar and Ty were on their way to go get food and party trays.
As they descended the staircase Ty mentioned, "So I decided to get Freya a Halloween cake."
"Really? You don't think it'll be too much?" Skylar asked.
