Well, needless to say this wasn't exactly how Moon had imagined her first day on Remix. When Zoe had reached out to her about a new tour, she was both honored and ecstatic at the thought of being invited and seeing everyone again. In Japan no less, a destination she had always dreamed of going to. Well, almost everyone. When she had learned Griff was going to be part of Remix as well she didn't quite know how to feel. On one hand, it was to be expected he'd be present. He wasn't one to pass up on being the center of attention. On the other hand, she'd rather not see him, if she was honest (and to put it as nicely as possible). It was bound to be awkward and she dared not say how she'd react. While she had forgiven him for the sake of not holding on to a grudge, she certainly hadn't forgotten.
It must have been two years at most since their falling out and she hadn't talked to him since. Rather, she refused to do so. If anything, ignoring him had brought her peace of mind. She supposed she had to be grateful he hadn't spoken to the press, at the very least. Likely because he had no foot to stand on and he knew it. The fact that he had sent her a cease and desist letter "just in case" spoke volumes. Frankly, it disgusted her and left her wondering what she had seen in him at all.
She did however reach out to her team members on numerous occasions, to apologize for leaving abruptly near the tour's end, but also to see how they were doing. She often wondered how Sorian was doing, seeing as he was also a victim of Griff's sick games. Knowing him however, she dared say he was fine. The results varied but she didn't blame them in the slightest. They all had their responsibilities to tend to.
She herself had too. For starters, she had opened her own veterinary practice. On the side, she had participated in numerous events such as conventions, tv shows and the likes, as well as explored her love for art more. Most importantly, Tae had kept his promise. Long gone were the days she endured Griff's abuse. She was finally living her happily ever after. The couple had bought their first home together and it was everything she pictured it to be.
Griff aside, she wasn't going to allow him to be in the way of participating in what was essentially a chance at realizing her childhood dream... A revival of the very first tour she attended. Until Wizard had decided otherwise. The last thing she remembered was her harness breaking, followed by being loaded onto a stretcher, wind howling and sirens wailing. "Well, you're in luck. It's not broken."
She sighed a huge sigh of relief, knowing all too well she could kiss her career goodbye if it was, in fact, broken once more. "That's wonderful news...Thank you so much, Doctor." She replied, voice raspy and barely audible, as she settled back comfortably into the pillows of the hospital bed. She winced. It hurt. She had yet to grasp the gravity of the situation. While the nurses had tried their best to explain what went down, she would be lying if she claimed she had processed the fact that she could've died right there and then.
"Some of your friends weren't as fortunate." The doctor continued as he took a look at their files. Aside from the bruised ribs, concussion, scratches, a huge gash on her cheek and second degree burns on the palm of her hands, she couldn't complain. She wanted nothing more than to get up and see how her friends were doing, except she couldn't. She could barely sit up, let alone walk.
"No shit." She heard Freya, her roommate, say from across the room.
The doctor wasn't the least bit impressed, however. "For now, get some rest. You should be back on your feet in no time. The nurse will be with you short-"
Suddenly, there was a knock.
"That better be my dinner. I'm starving." She heard the redhead growl. If it was dinner time already, how long had they been out for?
The doctor shook his head. "That must be her. Come in."
It wasn't either of those things. Instead, a familiar face greeted her, a worried sick look plastered on it. "Love!" Moon exclaimed, a warm smile gracing her lips.
