Leon and his best friend named, Tobi, was close and also not close. It was a considerably weird and kind of complicated relationship. One day they would be so close and have fun. And the next, they would be so far away from each other, they would seem worlds apart.
Leon knew for sure that Tobi was definitely his best friend, even though, they have those days where they are far apart. Leon knew, even though, Tobi said some mean things, that Tobi actually loved him. They were best friends. Of course, they would have those fights.
Tobi knew that Leon liked Rose, it was obvious. From the way he stared at her.... from the way he acted when he talked to her. The way he looks at her from across the room. Is it obvious to everyone around Leon except for Rose?
Tobi once tried to talk to Rose about Leon's affection for her. Their conversation was as follows....
Tobi: "Hey, Rose, do you notice that Leon likes you?"
Rose: "Tobi, he doesn't, I would know if he did or not"
Tobi: "Obviously, Rose, you don't know. There's a way he acts when he talks to you or looks at you..."
Rose: "He looks at me the same way he looks at you, Tobi. There is no difference"
Tobi: "Rose, I just wanted to talk you about this. You don't have to believe me."
Rose "I know for sure you are wrong."
And, that's how the conversation ended. Rose totally didn't believe Tobi at all.
