Stay With Me ~ Quinn Hughes

Quinn's room is still dark when my eyes flutter open, but the clock reads 9:30am. His heavy arm is wrapped around my waist keeping me in place and his steady breathing behind me tells me he's still asleep. I slowly turn myself around to face him and lay a couple of small kisses on his bare chest. Today is a busy day for me as I have a couple job interviews so I'm basking in the calmness right now.

"Good Morning Love" Quinn's raspy morning voice pulls me from the planning of my day.

"Morning" He tries to lean down and plant a kiss on my lips but I pull away.

"No absolutely not, my morning breath is horrible." In response Quinn grabs my cheeks and leaves a short kiss on my lips anyway.

"Do you have anything to do today?" He asks after he pulls away from me still keeping me wrapped in his arms.

"Yeah I need to get up in a couple minutes, I have 4 interviews today"

"Really?" He sounds dejected when he speaks so I look up at his face that holds a frown.

"You asked me to move here mister don't complain to me" About two months ago Quinn visited me and asked me to move to Vancouver with him. So here I am and I couldn't be happier.

"You know you don't need to get a job"

"I know, but I want to. And you're not changing my mind" I know we could easily live off of Quinn's money but if I just sat here all day I would feel very useless.

"Ok" I feel his slight stubble brush against my neck as he falls back into a light sleep. I would love nothing more than to stay like this but I can't be late. I try to wiggle from his grasp which proves unsuccessful.

"Quinn I gotta go" He shakes his head no and only holds me tighter.

"No I really have to" Once again he shakes his head no like a 5 year old throwing a tantrum.

"Just stay with me for 5 more minutes" His head is lifted from my neck and a small smile rested on his face. How can I say no to that?

"Fine" Let's just say I missed my first interview that day.
