Chapter 1

My prints in the sand got moistened by the salty ocean like a wet kiss. My right hand had possession of my shoes, my left freely swung. At beautiful orange-yellow semi sphere helped blanket California and its ocean. I watched couples lay in shimmering sand, loners like me walk and jog. Oh well I thought, oh well. I'm Ashley Springs, I haven't had to many boyfriends, but the ones I did have weren't for me. I kept my stroll going, until I crashed into someone. He turned around, his chocolate hair flipping with his motion, as I looked into his dull blue eyes. He was tall and mature, strong too, and very handsome or hot if I'd say.

"Excuse me love I'm so sorry. I guess I should get my head out of the clouds, also I could have seen you beautiful," he even had a British accent, very pure too.

I blushed wildly," Thanks. I should too though, because I wouldn't want to miss someone like you."

He smiled gorgeously in return. "Do you live around here?"

"Yea my condo is just down the street," I spit out desperately.

"Well I'll hope and pray to see you soon. If you ever see me wave, I will remember you," he replied helping me with a wink. "The names Louis also."

"I'm Ashley."

He smiled very big again, nodding in approval. He grabbed my hand and pecked at it softly and walked behind me, leaving my presence. He jogged pretty quick, I looked my shoulder and not to far from where we stood he had turned already. I made a grimace at myself and sprinted for my condo. I peeked and I could he was watching where I turned, I waved at him bye, but before I knew it he was close to me again.

"Love, you wouldn't believe this but I live here."

I made a little joyful gasp, and he giggled. We walked side by side in between the buildings, not really talking.

"I've never met someone who could my attention like you do," he interrupted the silence and took hold of my hands. "Can I get your number or is it to much to ask?"

I nodded my head quickly and slipped out my phone. We switched phones and typed urgently, wanting to send each other something.

"Thank you beauty," his words rang into my ears.

I kept walking, believing he was near me, but when I turned he stood there staring at his phone. "Louis are you ok? Is something wrong?" I was searching for a good answer.

He smiled as I came forward to him. His phone got shoved into his pocket, and his eyes were vivid. "Would you like to go out for supper tomorrow?"

My mouth dropped, I was speechless. He snickered at my expression," really, oh my gosh?!? You know what Lou of course I would."

His smile grew wide, his teeth reflected the sun. I squeezed him tightly, his cheeks flushed. "I'm glad to know somebody is a little falling for me," he whispered, his voice echoing between the condo walls. He stretched his arm out with a opened hand, I chuckled and snatched it. The sun left us, and now the city lights floated everywhere. I looked at the entrance to my condo building, Louis brought me away from it going towards the stores.

"A stroll."

We laughed simultaneously and skipped around. The two of us pointed at random crap, comical mannequins and clothes. We even would laugh or just look at couples, and than at each other. He thought it was bad he turned pink, I must have been tomato red. After a hour and a half, 9:00, we turned to the condos.

In between the condos, where we stood hours before, was a sidewalk with a mammoth fountain in the middle and flowers and lights and benches, almost a mini park. We modeled in front of it, our hands held and swinging back and forth.
