Personality: A genuine kind person who likes to help out people whenever it needs be. Because of this though, she got walked on a lot growing up. She's very shy around new people she meets and takes a bit for her to warm up to you. Though when you get to know her more, you see how much of a happy person she is and surprisingly has a lot of energy. Also a bit of a goofball at times. When she's upset or angry, she tends to ramble a lot unless you stop her or you just let her continue her ramble until she's done talking. She also has her moments where she's serious but that only happens when it's a dangerous situation or she's in battle. Absolutely hates crying in front of people, not because she thinks she's weak for doing so but because she doesn't like people seeing her cry.

Cursed Technique: Acupuncture- she can use needles or anything thin and sharp to hit pressure points on a person/target to make their cursed energy weaker, their body movements slower, or to dull certain senses a short period of time. • Her technique doesn't work unless all needles are in the right pressure points and activates it by snapping her fingers • How she uses it is that she flicks the needle or sharp object with force. (Kinda like the toothpick flick trick)
Technique moves: All moves can only stay in affect if all needles are in the right place and stay in place the whole time until the affect wears off. • Energy Fatigue- Lower a opponents cursed energy which can make their moves not as powerful. Stays in affect for 10 minutes. • Delayed Response- Makes the opponents muscles exhausted which lowers their reaction time along with their movement speed. Stays in affect for 7 minutes. • Dull Sense (1-5)- Depending on the pressure points it hits, temporarily dulling a certain sense but the opponent will regain it after 1-3 minutes depending on how strong the curse/target is. Though some senses dull differently than what the sense is. (Senses and what it dulls is below) 1. Sight- temporarily blinds the opponent 2. Hearing- temporarily deafens the opponent 3. Touch- temporarily paralyzes the opponent 4. Taste- temporarily mutes the opponent (used for curses who have to speak to use their ability, like Toge) 5. Smell- temporarily loses the scense of smell of the opponent (used for curses who can use their nose to track down things) • Complete Loss of Senses- This move takes all of her cursed energy and she uses it as a last resort. Like the name implies, if she puts all of her needles in all of pressure points of all five senses, it temporarily shuts down those senses but this time it only lasts for 10-25 seconds depending on how strong the curse/target is.
Facts: • It's a family tradition on her mom's side that every female is named after a flower. Like her mom's which means iris. Ume means plum blossom. • Is part of Maki's, Panda's, and Toge's group and has known them since first year. • Has known Megumi ever since Hasumi started to help take care of him. • Panda and Yuji are her best friends. • Close bond with Hasumi. • Lives at the jujutsu high dorms like Yuji and Megumi
Backstory:
The Yoshima family is well known as the clan that collects information of curses. Meaning that every child born in the Yoshima family will grow up in knowing about curses, the different cursed techniques they could have, and the grade levels they can have. Even if they aren't born to be a sorcerer, they will still learn this and can be a helpful asset to other sorcerers. Meaning both Hasumi and Ume grew up with this information and helped both of them grow as a sorcerer.
Ume was a late bloomer when it came to her finding out her cursed technique, mostly due to hers being a physical type of technique. Similar to Nanami in how he can see ratios on his target, she can see certain pressure points on a person that she can aim at. The pressure points look like a crosshair for her so she knows exactly where to aim at. Though her having this ability made her curious about actual acupuncture so she studied on it and now knows how to do actual acupuncture in her spare time for her friends or family who might have pains.
She basically grew up with Megumi because of how much Hasumi helped take care of Megumi and his sister. It didn't help that they also went to the same junior high so she knew about him always getting into fights. Because of her shy and kind personality, a lot of people would use her for their own reasons. So she had a lot of bullies growing up but she tried to act like she was fine. When Megumi found this out, he was completely furious and gotten into a lot more fights with Ume's bullies. A lot people thought that Ume and Megumi were in a secret relationship but in reality they just saw each other as siblings and didn't want anything to happen to the other.
Shortly after graduating junior high, she went into Jujutsu high to become a sorcerer. She was placed in the same 1st year as Maki, Panda, and Toge, so they worked together as a team. During this time, she had gotten to know all of them well and even considers them her close friends with Panda being her best friend because of how much they get along. Ume always had a great admiration towards Maki for her continuing to grow as much as she could as a sorcerer even though she can't see curses without her glasses. It wasn't until later into her being a second year that she started to realized she likes Maki but kept it to herself since she didn't know how that was going to work.
