"Once again, I don't have enough money for joy. That means that I, for sure, don't have enough money to be mad about this. The system put high prices on being mad, just so that we wouldn't be mad at the damn cost!" - uttered Nita, as her warm words evaporated into breath clouds right under Aubrey's straw-colored hair.
It was an early autumn afternoon, the warmth was fading away, only giving hints of how hot it was earlier. People started heading home after a long weekend. It was the perfect time to do whatever you want and say whatever you want. Unless you have no emotions left in your storage to use, to make the decisions of what to say or what to do.
"I believe that you should stop the usage of the "annoyance words" if you're not annoyed, Nita. Would you like to be an uncontrollable teen who acts off of their hormones? When will you stop being so, immature and understand that we need the system? - Aubrey commented,
"Maybe I want to finally feel the force of uncontrollable feelings, Aubs. Come on..." - Nita rasped with her dulcet voice, as her eyes sparkled under the last sunshine of the dusk.
1 feeling of pity and 1 feeling of annoyance were used on Aubrey Hollow's account.
"Fine! I'll pay for you, but only because I like it when you rage." - Aubrey scuffed, rolling her hazel eyes like bowling balls on their way to the target, with enthusiasm. She just didn't want Nita to commit something stupid, she didn't know for sure if the bravery feelings she bought for Nita last week were still in her storage.
The sun finally touched the line between earth and the warm yellow sky, leaving the 2 kids with nothing to do but go home. Naita bought the feelings he wanted from the device standing on the street, and the 2 thirteen-year-olds started walking on the sidewalk.
Natalia/Nita Harper had purchased 5 joys, 7 annoyances, and 1 love spark. 1 joy was used.
"Okay, I bought 5 joys, 7 annoyances, and... 1 love spark?"
Aubrey giggled as they walked.
