Following the kidnapping of Hana-chan, she became despondent over Oyajide and Majoruka kidnapping and torturing her. Leon then told Hana-chan, "You can't go on like this! If you wanna get back at your kidnappers, you got to be stronger than this! And I know just the person to help you out with."
Hana-chan and Leon then venture to Santa Destroy, a city where there are no rules. Located south of Los Angeles, this small city is known for its seediness, and lack of care for education, and is said to be the setting for the 1971 film Dirty Harry. Santa Destroy is home to the Beef Head video store, the Burger Supplex restaurant, and the Thunder Ryu gym. Hana-chan and Leon then traveled to the No More Heroes motel and there they meet Travis Touchdown, an otaku who happens to be an assassin.
To some up Travis Touchdown's life story, here is his monologue:
"I know a lot of gamers out there who don't have much patience, 'least that's what Bishop the dude at the video store said. So I'm at the register and then I realize, I got no money. I was seriously broke. Why? 'Cause I met this smokin' hot chick last night at the deathmatch bar and man did she smell good! So being the gentleman I am, I bought her a drink. Anyhoo... I decided to get a job. The gig: assassinate 'The Drifter'! So I went where I was supposed to and waited for the guy to show up. And there he was: this cat, well-dressed, cool. Couldn't tell if he was the sh*t, or just plain old sh*t. Yeah, so he's stylin', fast, aggressive, and packin' heat. Bada-bing. Or at least it was supposed to be. 'Til she showed up. Her name: Sylvia Christel, an agent with this whatchyamacallit association."
Well... We all know the story. Travis Touchdown is an otaku assassin who has a pet cat named Jeanne. He wanted to become an assassin just so he can make money. He used the last of his money to buy him a laser sword from an online auction. For him becoming a number one assassin, it wasn't an easy task. Getting to be a number one ranked assassin took hard work, such as doing errands all over the city of Santa Destroy and hacking and slashing his way to the top. Whenever there is nothing left for him to do, he just unwinds and takes care of his cat, Jeanne. At the deathmatch bar, he met a french woman named Sylvia Christel. Christel was an agent from the United Assassins Association.
Leon met Travis while he was working out at the Thunder Ryu gym. It was a private gym and health club owned and operated by Thunder Ryu, a former Japanese professional wrestler and member of the Yakuza. Thunder Ryu served as Travis' mentor, but Leon did a lot of weightlifting.
When Hana-chan and Leon arrived at the No More Heroes motel, Hana-chan questioned "What are we doing here?" Leon then said, "This is where Travis Touchdown lives." "Who?", Hana-chan questioned. Leon then responded, "You'll see..." He then knocked on the door in front of Travis' room. "Mr. Travis Touchdown?", Leon said. Travis then opened the door. "What is it, Leon? Can't you see I'm watching a wrestling video? I want to learn new moves!", Travis said in an impatient manner. Travis then looked at Hana-chan. "Who is this girl with the pigtails?", said Travis. Leon then told Travis that the girl in pigtails is Hana Makihatayama, member of the Royal Family. Leon then told the story of Oyajide and Majoruka getting kidnapped. "That's f**ked up!", Travis yelled. Travis then apologizes with the foul language to both of them.
