Day one....
I quickly changed into my uniform. It was a bright purple with black dress pants and a belt.
When I arrived, Henry greeted me.
"Hey, [name]!" He said and waved at me. "I love your hair! Did you get it done?"
"My best friend Addison did it for me!" I smiled. "She's a hair stylist."
"Can you work the front counter for me? I have some orders I need to cook in the kitchen."
"Sure thing!"
I stood at the front counter, greeting people and taking their orders. A lady walked in, fuming with rage.
"Where has my son gone??" She yelled at me. "I haven't seen him since I dropped him off here to have fun at 9 am! It's been 6 hours that I haven't been able to find him!!"
"I'm sorry ma'am," I tried to be respectful. "But I just started working here today. I don't know anything about your son."
The lady came closer to me and slammed her hands on the counter, getting everyone's attention.
"I said, WHERE IS MY SON???" She screamed at me.
"I told you already, I don't know!" I said, starting to lose it. "If he's lost tell the police, not me!"
The lady punched me square in the jaw. My lip started to bleed a little but.
"There are kids here!" I yelled only to be punched again.
I jumped over the counter and hit her in the back of the neck, just hard enough to knick her out.
William came running to see my lip and nose oozing blood and an unconscious, otherwise unharmed middle aged woman leaning on my arm.
"What happened, love?" William asked, rubbing the blood from my lip and nose
I blushed and stepped back and looked to the woman.
"I- uh-" I stuttered, embarrassed. "This woman- she uh- she came in screaming about uh- about her kid missing."
"Tell her to go to the police, not us."
"I did."
William took the unconscious lady back from me and layed her on a small cot in one of the back rooms.
"I'll keep her here until she wakes up," William sighed. "It should only be around another minute or so."
The lady slowly opened her eyes, forgetting how she passed out.
"What happened-" she cut herself off. "What about my kid??"
"Just like this gentleman said," William said, putting his hand on my shoulder. "Go to the police, not us. Your child could have run off or gotten kidnapped by someone. For now, you're banned from Fredbear's Family Diner."
"But-!" The woman started to say, only to get cut off by William dragging her to the exit."
"I'll sue you!!" She screamed and hit Williams shoulder repeatedly.
"You need evidence we even did anything to begin with," William laughed and closed the door on her face.
"I'm sorry that happened, [name]," William looked into your [eye color] eyes. He took the tissue from my hand and replaced it with a new one. "Want me to drive you home tonight?"
I looked away shyly. My heart was pounding.
"Uh, s-sure," I said, turning my back to him to make sure he didn't see my beat red face. "I had to take my car into the mechanic across the street this morning anyways."
He led me to the employee-only parking lot and unlocked his car. It was a really pretty dark blue color.
I got in and buckled my seat belt. William started the car and backed out.
"Where do you live?" He asked.
"Oh yeah-" I said, lost in thought. "[Your address]."
The 20 minute drive felt like hours. I started sweating from the awkward silence.
"I'm sorry," William apologized, noticing my sweat. "Is it too warm in here? I'll turn down the heater-"
"No!" I said, louder than I would've liked to. "I-I mean- it's okay!"
I looked out the window and squeezed my eyes shut, not wanting to see William's reaction.
We pulled up into my driveway. William walked me up to the door and turned to look at me, holding something small in his hands.
"Look at me for a sec, love," William said.
I looked at him with a confused face as he squeezed ointment onto his finger.
My confused expression turned into shock when he put the antibiotic on the corner of my lip.
His face is inches apart from me- my thoughts were interrupted by William laughing from my driveway.
"Did you just see a ghost?" He laughed. "Why do you keep staring at nothing??"
"Sure-" I said, not knowing what to say. "Something like that..."
I waved goodbye to William as I unlocked my door and went inside. I flopped on the couch, sighing.
"Today couldn't have been worse..." I groaned and covered my face with my hands.
~~~~~~~~~
I flopped onto my king-sized bed, falling asleep almost instantly. I was exhausted from the tension in the car.
I woke up a few hours later to the sound of my bedroom door opening. Not bothering to look I rubbed my eyes.
"Addison, why are you here in the middle of the night-" I groaned, half asleep.
"I don't know who this Addison is," I heard a man's voice say, "is she close to you?"
I froze, terrified. Someone snuck into my house.... it felt like an all too familiar presence.... almost like- nevermind, it can't be. I'm just not thinking straight.
As the man got closer to me, the stench of alcohol on him became prominent. My heart pounded with terror. I wanted to run, but my body wouldn't move....
