How I feel rn now that this video is FINALLY DONE HOLY FUCKING SHIT.

I actually can't believe I finished this before the end of the year. Like, a little ~fun fact~: One of the reasons I made this portfolio in the first place was so that I'd have a place to feature this video once I finished it. Yes, that means I've been working on this since fucking APRIL 1ST and I'm JUST NOW getting it out...

Yeah. Anyways.

I've been wanting to make a video for Autumn ever since season 2 of The Witcher dropped (which was December of last year, this video has literally been in my head for an entire fucking year) and I'm actually really proud of how this turned out! It wasn't coming together for the longest time & the song just wasn't clicking (remember when I DM'd you asking for Autumn Alita songs... yeah that was me trying to find an alternative). I'm glad this one finally worked out cos this is the song I had in my head since the beginning ☺

I'm gonna ramble about the video because I'm an insufferable over-explainer ━ feel free to just skip past this part! But here are some notes about the ~creative process~ and all that:

✧ I don't actually know if the section starting at 1:34 is relevant to the story at all, but the manip of Sinestro holding Autumn at knifepoint was the first thing I made and I liked how it turned out & didn't wanna scrap it... so hopefully it's not too out of place!

✧ "You turned into your worst fears" I really really really wanted that to be a Hal and Autumn moment but I couldn't find a good enough clip of Chris Pine looking angry/evil so I had to scrap the idea 😭 But I feel like the line applies to Autumn too, so I do like how it turned out!

✧ I downloaded and sorted through so much footage of Kat McNamara & the way she's only in the video for like, two scenes... I had more planned for her since all of Act I is from Grace's POV / Kat has some really good lines that could be good for Sinestro or Hal scenes, but I ran out of space 😐 But it's fine! It worked out!

✧ Color grading this video was a BITCH but at least it came together in the end! I wanted it to have more green / yellow tones because I know that's the ~colour scheme~ for the book but take it from me, those are honestly two of the worst colors to edit with 😭 I tried my best!
