I see him… his black fur glowing under the moonlight. He looks at me with fear in his eyes. I want to help but i cant go near him. He doesnt want to hurt me but he will. I run away, run into my small suburban home and lock the door.

But that isn't where this started.

Hi I'm Zoe, I'm a sophomore in highschool and this is my story.

It was february 17th and it was a pretty rainy day. Before I left for school I put on my beaten black converse. I wasnt like other girls. I grabbed my jansport backpack and headed out the door. As I sat down on the bus I turned around and saw him. He had short black hair and his abs were showing through his skin tight white shirt. He makes eye contact with me and i turn my head back around. His jet black eyes still glowing in my thoughts. I stand up to leave the bus and on the step down and trip on the last step. I land in a puddle.

“Perfect” i sigh under my breath

“Need some help?” a deep yet comforting voice says from behind me.

I turn my head and see the boy from the bus.

“Im Jayke” he says as he reaches down a hand.

“I'm Zoe” I grasp his hand as he pulls me up.

His grip was strong but gentle. I pull out my phone from my back pocket and shake it. Droplets of water fall off. My backpack was soaked.

“I have a change of clothes in my locker” I tell Jayke. “Ill go change”

“You can have my sweatshirt til you can change” He says taking of his black hoodie.

“Thanks so much! Ill give it back to you at lunch? Where do you sit?” I ask him grabbing the sweatshirt and putting it over my goosebump covered shoulders.

“It's my first day so im only visiting the school and getting showed my classes Im leaving at noon.” He says as he digs into his backpack for something.

“Oh ok…” I reply disappointed.

“But ill give you my number here let me see your hand” He pulls off the cap to a sharpie and writes the digits on the back of my hand. His warm hand made me shiver even more.

“When you get out of school we can meet up just text me.”

He disappeared into the crowd as the school bell rang.

I looked down at my hand and some of the number was smeared from the water dripping down my arm. I ran to the bathroom to change and kept the jacket on. I arrived very late to class.

"Miss Sollins, do you have a pass?!" The teacher scolded when I entered the room.

"Right here Mr. Wisecarvet" I waved the blue slip infront of his desk.

He grabbed it with a disappointed sigh. "Take your seat"

I sat down and looked at my hand trying to read the numbers written on my smeared hand.
I made out a 224-6__8
I think the other two numbers were a 7 and a 3. I grabbed my phone from my backpack and typed it into my phone.

"Zoe.. come bring up your phone." Mr.Wisecarvet exclaimed.

I closed it and walked up to the front of the room hearing some snickers from behind me.

"You can get it at the end of class, now go sit down."

I slowly walked back to my desk and grabbed out my notebook from my backpack. It was still damp from the fall this morning. I ripped out a dry page and started doodling. I had zoned out and hardly realized the bell had rung. I put the notebook back in my bag and ran to the front of the room to grab my phone.

"Try to be a better student tomorrow, miss Sollins."

I nodded, grabbed my phone and quickly walked to meet my friend at lunch.
