I could hear the cars slowing down around me. The shouting of Sam telling me to wake up. I could feel the pain in my head and back, my hands felt wet. I could smell the blood pouring out of my body. I felt tired and weak.
I should've waited for him instead of wandering off. The flowers looked so appealing that I had to take a closer look, I made sure to check that no cars were coming towards me before walking into the road. All I had to do was make it across, apparently that wasn't enough.
I felt the car hit me before I even saw it. I felt the ground beneath me before I could even comprehend what happened.
The shouting of the man that hit me asking if I was okay. I wasn't and I knew that, I knew I was dying.
I couldn't feel anything. I opened my eyes what I could, and Sam saw. He knew what was happening, the tears rolling down his cheeks fell to mine.
I'm guessing that I started crying too, he lifted his hand and wiped my cheek.
He leaned down to my ear and whispered, "Don't cry, everything will be okay. The pain will leave soon." I couldn't help but cry more. He leaned down and hugged me, being careful not to cause me any more pain.
If I could I would have squeezed him back telling him that I would be okay. I knew I wouldn't. I knew that my time would be up in a matter of minutes. He leaned back so that he was able to look into my eyes.
"I'll forever love you, I'll live for the both of us. This isn't the end of our story, it's time to move onto the next chapter of our journey...until we meet again my love."
My eyes began to close, the last thing I saw was him.
