The hazel eyes were peering at the trees swishing back and fourth into each other intertwining their leaves and arms. Soft cotton loosely hung onto her frame, a cigarette hanging out of her lips and her golden strands swallowing her frame. It was early morning in Forks and Juliet was knackered the previous night of painting for her art class til early hours and the combination of insomniacs. She was perched on the balcony watching the garden as she was awfully suspicious of Edward sneaking in and out of her sisters room.
Well either that or Bella has a bad habit of talking to herself. She finished her cigarette and closed her door deciding that it was too cold to catch the boy today.
"Come here Phil you've caught your paw", Juliet mumbled to the white cat that had a ginger ear. It made a soft meow in response to its carer. The paw was all tangled up in the tassels of the vintage rug.
"There you go silly child."
Juliet saw the time and realised that she should start getting ready for class. She slowly put on a pair of low rise jeans with the matching oversized denim jacket and a soft laced tank. She started to rummage aggressively for a pair of boots finally seeing a pair of black platform docs in the mountain of her wardrobe she shoved them on.
Her hair was slung back with a black headband and lashes had a quick coat of mascara with lipgloss coating her heart shaped lips. Spraying a floral perfume onto the wrists. Finally putting on her sunglasses that she wore religiously as her mother gifted her these vintage bug eyed glasses when she turned 14.
"Juliet Edwards here!" Bella projected from downstairs.
"Give me one minute!" shouted the blonde.
Juliet whipped the tote over her shoulder and ran down the wooden stairs towards the brunette.
"Have you got everything this time?", asked Bella.
"Yes, yes, yes. Got my homework pencils the whole lot", replied Juliet.
"Just checking don't want to turn round again for the 6th time this month."
Juliet rolled her eyes at the back of Bella's head. The sisters got into the shiny Volvo that was sitting all pretty in the drive. Edward going to give a quick peck to Bella and a hello to Juliet. The car was always silent with the three in there, especially after the argument. Well an argument is a nice way to put it more like Juliet shouting at Edward for 30 minutes and him standing deadly still, scared that the human was going to kill the vampire. Juliet was very angry that day all she could see was red and she was prepared to kick Edward to the curb. Bella managed to diffuse the situation slightly with the help of Emment pulling Juliet off lover boy, but her younger sister was still as angry at Edward and refused to talk to him properly. Juliet slammed the door before the bronze hair male could utter a word.
"She really hates me Bella, actually I think hate is putting it delicately ", Edward said after a car ride of him hearing thoughts of how the sister was planning on killing the boy and how she doesn't understand the forgiveness Bella had graced him with. Additionally, the fact that Juliet was hawking Bella's window every hour of the day to make sure he wasn't interacting at all with her without Charlie eyeballing them.
"Ohhh ignore her she's just trying to protect me as I would do for her. She just doesn't trust you yet, I think maybe you two should talk about what happened."
"I would but she doesn't seem like she would even try to listen."
"I'll talk to her about it tonight because sooner or later she will need to be civil with you because I can't deal with this tension", Bella huffed.Juliet was chatting away to Claire, in the cafeteria, discussing the new Batman movie. Mike turned to the pair and join in on the engrossing conversation.
"Guys help me with my speech", Jessica huffed and throw the piece of paper at Mike.
"Let's see what you've got. 'My fellow students' Right?" Mike spoke back.
"Good", "Cute", Eric and Jessica said blankly as Edward and Bella sat down.
Mike grinned and repeat passionately, "We are the future. Anything is possible if you just believe."
"Nice," Angela said while laughing and the couple grinned at Mike as he continued to say, "Blah, blah, blah. Perfect and you got yourself a speech."
Passing the paper and pen back over to the frustrated Jessica.
"No. This will be my speech when I want everyone to throw diplomas at my head," Jessica stated and threw the paper at a grinning Mikes head, "So thank you."
"You gotta embrace the clichés Jess."
"Yeah if you want Jess to be bullied at every high school reunion Micheal," Juliet sniggered.
"They are bread and butter of all valedictorians," Eric agreeing with Mike.
"And that's why your not valedictorian," Angela pointed out with a smile.
"Jess doesn't need clichés," Bella butted in, "This speech is gonna be epic."
Edward rise his eyebrows at his girlfriend, surprised of the comment.
"Epic? It will change lives," Jess confidently responded with a piercing stare. The pixie and cowboy appeared next to the brother and gracefully sat down. Alice had an all knowing grin on her face and Jasper look happy for once not in pain. Juliet thought oh no this is not going to be good.
"I've decided to throw a party," chirped Alice.
"After all, how many times are we gonna graduate high school ?" Jasper added with Edward chuckled softly at the inside joke. Juliet thought great a whole night surrounded by Cullens, that she wasn't going to get out of this.
"A party? At your place?" Angela questioned. Jessica whipped her head round, "I've never seen your house."
"No one's never seen their house" Eric murmured.
"Another party alice?" Edward replied.
"It'll be fun," said Alice as she rolled her eyes.
"Yeah that's what you said last time", said Bella. Alice was about to reply until her eyes glazed over and didn't managed to reply back. Juliet thought what on earth is going on what did Bella mean last time.
