their characterizations are quite fun; they both differ greatly from their movie counterparts (Anna and Elsa obviously) but also not really???
Yseult takes after her father more than her mother, but above all, she has a ton of her aunt morgana in her (not evil, but the impulsivity and internal struggle with who she is); the rest of her character is a fun blend of the original elsa and angelina's maleficent so 💀💀💀 fun times ahead. she's not as isolated as elsa was in the movie and ain't know way aurora's making her hide her magic and spilling the "conceal don't feel" bullshit—my girl would NEVER. Yseult does hide her magic from the world, but it is her choice to do so (given one of camelot's prophecies includes a ruler cursing the land to an eternal winter, she thinks it best lol). however, she secretly learns how to harness it with her uncle merlin.
Kaida IS her mother reincarnated and everyone says so; aurora's chaotic dumbassery will forever live on through this redheaded quack. for the most part, aurora aside (both my aurora and elle fanning's aurora), she's just anna from the movie but mellowed out substantially. Anna is a little too unrealistically boisterous in the movie so we're watering that down. with the plan i have going on for the story currently, the strike of magic she received as a child was never fully taken out of her and being around elsa makes the ice flare up and spread, so they don't grow up together nor do they remember each other (memory spell for the win). anna grows up in a city a ways away from camelot with her mother's friends (merlin!skolntsé 👀) and her best friend (kristoff's counterpart). very little is planned other than that, and if i can't come up with something cohesive, we're just following the movie I guess.
frozen II, however, is being almost entirely scrapped and replaced with maleficent: mistress of evil (they're the same movie, but maleficent was better imo 🤷♀️).
at this rate these two will literally never exist but it's fun to dream.
one fun tidbit: this story will be separated into three parts and the first will be when they're children, and centered around a certain little mermaid who pops up from the sea to kill them. ✨
