I quickly jump awake in fear and then proceeded to reach for and drink another coffee. I noticed my coworker and good friend Izac looking at me with a worried expression. I looked back at him. He has dark brown, almost chocolaty eyes. He is the best person ever with his chocolate brown hair, striped shirt, and his piercings. He's so nice all the time also. It took me a second to process that he was speaking and I jumped slightly before replying.
"Huh, what?" I question.
"Are you ok? Your eye bags are getting worse and just seem out of it." The brown-haired boy asked with a hint of genuine concern I'm his voice.
"Oh- Ya I'm fine-" I replied with a tired smile. I just prayed he wouldn't see through my obvious lie. He looked at me suspiciously and just shrugged it off.
"Alright. Whatever you say. Really though, feel free to talk to me if you ever need it. I'm here for you remember?" He made sure to reassure me and I simply nodded back with a smile. Then he left and I was left alone. I hated being alone. It was horrible. I couldn't think. It had been about 3 days since I last slept. It was starting to get to me. Time started to blur a little and I could've sworn I heard its voice behind me. I forced myself to snap out of it by drinking more coffee. I sighed and figured I should at least try to sleep. After all, sleep deprivation was not something to be messed with. I sighed and fell asleep surprisingly quickly.
