⚠️Trigger warning: eating disorders⚠️
I was lying down in bed on my phone waiting for Vinnie to get home from work. He usually finishes at 9pm. It was 8:30, you started scrolling on your phone looking at all of the girls with perfect skinny bodys. You felt your eyes water. I want to be that skinny, you thought to yourself. Your eyes started feeling heavy, you slowly felt your eyes shut. "Babe?" you hear a raspy voice whisper to you. You get a fright and sit up. "Sorry babe." he says softly. You turn your head towards him and see its Vinnie. "Oh hey." you say "you okay?" he asks, giving you a hug, you hug him back. "You look really pale, baby?" he says holding your head as he looks into your eyes. "No im fine v" I say lying back down and pulling the covers over my shoulder. "You sure." you hear him say, you look up at his eyes and see them shimmering in the light. "Mhm" he walks over to his work bag and pulls something out. He walks over to you and gives you some roses. You sit up fast and give him a hug. "I love them! Thanks bub." he smiled and hugged you back. He then handed you some chocolate "aww thanks Vin" you say smiling. "I feel like I'm never with you anymore.." he says sadly. "Same." I say quietly. He sighs, "I'm sorry, I need to start making an effort." He says running his hands through his hair "no it's fine Vin you're working very hard im so proud of you." he gives you a weak smile. "I'm still sorry." he sits down on the bed next to you. "Now babe." he looks at your face. "Is there something you need to tell me?" he asks softly. You start tearing up but try to hide it, you know you haven't eaten in a day and a half. "No." you say, holding back tears. "What's going on y/n" he said, grabbing your hand and holding it. "I-" you stutter "babe, it's okay you can tell me anything." he was now looking straight into your eyes, his eyes starting to now water. "I haven't eaten in a day and a bit." you see a tear roll down his cheek. "Baby why haven't you been eating?" he asks on the brink of breaking. "It's just i'm not skinny enough." he put a fake smile on "babe don't think that you are perfect just the way you are. I will love you no matter what." that started to cheer you up. "I care about you y/n, all i want is for you to be happy don't go changing yourself for me or anyone else okay?" he leant down giving you a massive hug. "I'm sorry , Vin." he smiled and started opening the chocolate bar. He snapped one piece off and handed it to you. "Please eat it babe" he said softly, you take it from his hand and put it in your mouth it felt at first, but then the chocolate started melting your mouth and tasted so good. "Good job babe, I'm so proud of you!" he said, giving a kiss on the lips. You started laughing at him because the chocolate that was on your lips was now on his. "What?" he said ;laughing. "There's chocolate on your lips" you start laughing harder. He licked his lips smiling.
*2 days later*
Vinnie took 4 days off of work to help me and he was helping me so much he went and bought me all of my most favorite foods. We cuddled, watched movies and ate all day. "Love you baby, I'm so proud of you." he says with a big grin on his face. "I couldn't have made it without you V" you say smiling back
