This was it. The day she dreaded was finally here. She felt angry, disheartened and more than anything else betrayed. How could they do that. How could they just separate, how could they not think about her, after all they were her parents.
The judge called Emma onto the stand. "Emma j Wilson as you are a 21 years old adult the court gives you a choice of staying with john or lily". A chill ran down her spine as those words struck her like lightning. Her head felt heavy, her legs were wobbly. She couldn't feel herself anymore. She felt as if someone hit her head hard and she was falling ... deep down.

"Emma...... Emma..... honey.... get up or you would be late".
Mrs. Wilson banged on her door. Emma opened her eyes. She sat up on the bed thinking "oh it was just a dream ... what was I even thinking". It was the first day of college so naturally Emma was looking forward to it. She packed her laptop and took her gym wear.
Tom and Andrew, her best friends were waiting for her. They were friends since middle school. They practically knew everything about her. Emma packed her lunch and called out "mom I have kickboxing practice today so will be late. Bye".

Andrew
Andrew called out to her from the driveway "HEY EM!". Emma ran and pulled both of them in a bear hug.
It was a 15-minute (car)ride to their college. After they reached their class they saw that many of their high school classmates took arts majors too.
Emma sighed "it's the same old faces. I thought we could have made some new friends.".
"this is the only college that has arts majors, what did you expect?" said Tom patting her back.
"hey em watch out...." Before Andrew could pull someone bumped into her.
"hey look where you're" Emma stopped mid-sentence and looked at her dumbstruck.
she had never seen a girl this beautiful. she was shorter than Emma, she had a sculpted figure which was twine-thin. Her waist was tapered and she had a burnished complexion. A pair of arched eyebrows looked down on sweeping eyelashes. Her delicate ears framed a button nose.
A set of dazzling, angel-white teeth gleamed as she blew gently on her carmine-red fingernails. It was a pleasure to see her flowing, moon shadow-black hair. Her enticing, constellation-blue eyes gazed at Emma over her puffy, heart shaped lips.
"I am really sorry, I didn't see you there. Are you hurt?" she asked with a somber expression. "no I'm not. Are you?". She shook her head.

After the third lecture everyone headed towards their locker. Emma took her gym wear and as she closed the locker she saw that girl from before. She came up to Emma and said
"I didn't introduce myself properly. My name is Amy. I am new here".

"Hi. I am Emma. Nice to meet you."
"I know. You are quite popular here." said Amy smiling
Emma laughs. "yeah I do tend to have that impact on people" says Emma going slightly pink.
looking at her Emma asks "do you want to come with me if you have a free lecture". Amy nodded and both of them went to the gym area together.
Emma went to change and Amy sat on the bench. As Emma came out Amy flushed seeing her, Emma who was wearing shorts and a crop top smiled.
Amy couldn't help but notice that an impertinent strand had slipped out of Emma's neatly braided hair. The gentle breeze wafting in from the window that lifted the wisp of hair. Her attention shifted seamlessly to the lean muscular figure and the perfect curve of Emma's neck. As Amy noticed all of this, her heart began to race.
Amy wondered "is it right of me to feel something like this for her. But I feel as if I am not able to control myself around her.".
Emma practiced hard with Andrew. "woah! Slow down there tiger, you almost hit me in the eye" said Andrew playfully.
Tom who was sitting in a corner came and inquired pointing at Amy "isn't that the girl that bumped into you this morning.".
"yeah, she came to see me practice. Her name is Amy and she is new here".
"somebody's got a crush" said Tom. Emma's cheeks went pink. She knew Tom had seen something Andrew hadn't. tom knew her. Even if she didn't say anything Tom could understand her.
Amy walked up to them and said "I've never seen a girl doing kickboxing.".
"well she's not any normal girl, is she?" Said Tom holding Emma.
"she has won 3 state records for kickboxing and has been recommended to participate in the national kickboxing championship which will be held in a month." said Andrew enthusiastically.
"Hey Amy! if you want, you can come with us, we r going to chill at Emma's place" said Tom looking at Emma.
Amy looked at them and answered "I don't know if I would want to intrude, besides I just got to know you all.".
"oh please, Emma would never mind. Besides this could be a great bonding experience." Said Tom teasingly.
So as decided all four of them went to Emma's place. After ordering pizza for themselves all of them sat to play video games. "Hey Tom, it was your idea to bring Amy along but we only have 3 consoles how will she play?" asked Andrew.
"it's obvious Emma will share her console, right Em".
Emma blushed slightly and nodded. She knew what Tom was trying to do. He knew that after Sophia, Amy was the first person she kind of liked right now.
Both Tom and Andrew knew what it was like between Emma and Sophia. There was a madness in their love and the lack of reason made it feel flawless. Both of them lived and loved as if there was no tomorrow. As time went by their relationship became more mature.
