He wook up. The room was dark, even the light of the lamp didn't gave enough light inside. A bad dream was the reason why he waked up. A dream where the seige was still going on, the only difference was that he was inside of the city. He watched as the gates gave in, and the Soldier poured inside.
He touched his brow, large beads of sweat was there. He tried to closed his eyes again, hoping that he can came back to sleep, but after a minute he gave up. He stood and took his clothes.
Outside of his room, the place was empty and silent. Most of the soldier were either asleep or patrolling outside. He made his way to the cold hallway. The walls were damp in his skin, felt like someone threw a bucket full of water in it.
He passed the empty hall where all of the soldiers came when the food was ready. He opened a door in a corner of the hall, and moved outside. The air was cool in the skin, the moon was big above the sky. The stars were everywhere, accompanying, the huge white lonely thing.
He passed some soldiers. Many of them saluted, while the others pretend that they didn't saw him. It was alright to Teron, he was tired of returning the salute in all of the soldiers he see.
He walked to the city. The streets were cold. He saw some dogs, and when it saw him, all of it walked or run away. It felt like even the animals either hated or feared them. He smiled in the thought.
He walked to the stairs that was going up to wall. Here, most of the soldiers were awaked, he realized. All of them were watching the city, or the empty, dark outside. He saw the twisted trees there. He only realized now the trees. Even the place where the tree was dark, he can completely saw how damaged it was. It looked like a thunder strucked it.
A loud sound cut Teron in his deep thoughts. A strong wind came to him. He gripped the wall, leaning to it to keep his balanced. When the wind died, he turned, and saw the palace. Above, it looked like the sky was burning. The whole place was on fire..
He ran, commanding all the soldiers and guards he saw to ready their weapon. An Attack! He ran on the street of the city that was becoming alive now. Many figures was coming out of the remaining buildings, some of them were soldiers. When he saw one person wearing an armor, he ran toward it, shouting to be ready, and he saw the short sword in its hand.
He ran to his left, escaping the blade, and his death. He took out the blade, circling with the person. It was wearing an armor of a soldier, and in its head was a helmet. He quickly turned around, and realized what was happening. Most of the soldiers were fighting each other. No, not each other, the others just took the armor so they can attack quietly.
He remembered the person infront of him. The person was running toward him. He dodge to his left, and swing his sword lower. The blade caught the person on the thigh, but the person counter attack, and it caught him in the arm. Compared to the damage he struck, the wound in Terno's arm was large. He wished that he wore an armor before going outside. Even just an armor for his arms.
The person ran again. If the person was hurt by the wound, the person hide it perfectly. Terno moved to his left but the person attack again, so he moved to his right, jumped back when it attack again. When the person stopped he walked back two steps, and took a deep breath. The wound in his arm was worse, it was getting worse each time he moved.
The person was moving again, then an arrow struck it below the chin. Terno relaxed, but tensed again when he heard movements behind him. Inside the dark street came Polin. Behind him was three soldiers. Polin stopped infront of him while the others ran toward the other that was dancing with each other. The sound of blade was their music.
"I thought what the General told us was just a rumor. A rumor without a weight in it." Polin immediately said when he reached Terno.
"Yes. I guess we relaxed. We think that we completely captured the city. "
Terno ripped a small part of the clothes of his dead enemy and he bandaged himself. The wound was bad but not like before. He stood again, he felt tired because of the blood he loses, but not now. The General.
"In the palace." Polin said. Despair was in his face.
He and Polin looked at the burning place.
"Let's go. We can't say if his alive of dead while we just stand here."
