My memories began to flicker in my mind, and I felt like I was in a maze. I started to remember when I was little, rolling across the freshly cut fields. Laughing, continuously at the birds tweeting a warning in the sky. The birds tweets turned to shouting, and the fields begin to fade as the shouting got louder.

'ELLA- ELLA!' someone screamed. My eyes, peacefully opened as I seen my gran stood in-front of me with anger in her eyes. My mind put the pieces together, as I realised I wasn't lied in the ally way. Did I imagine it all? No I couldn't of everything felt so real. I sat up, as my head felt heavy and my body feeling weak. I look around and realise I was sat on my grans sofa, with television static flickering aimlessly in the background.

'YOU STUPID GIRL, BRINGING TROUBLE TO MY HOUSE!' she continues, as the fire in her brown eyes grew brighter. She began pacing back and forth across the room dragging her slippers on the grey carpet fiddling with her dressing gown ties.

"I can't do this anymore- I have raised you looked after you! Yet you're still a fucking monster, exactly like your Mother- I wish your Dad would of just stayed away! This way I wouldn't have to deal with you, and your stupidity!'

she walks over and bends down, staring angrily into my eyes. 'ANSWER ME! WHY DID SOME FUCKING MAN HAVE YOU IN HIS ARMS-TELLING ME YOU HAD BEEN IN A FIGHT" She pauses "WHY ARE YOU NOT AT COLLEGE' Her face turns red with anger as she waits on me for an answer. I wanted to say something, but nothing came out. I was still trying to process what had just happened but I couldn't. I look at the corner of the room trying to avoid her deathless stare. I looked back and seen her raise her hand and slap me across my face. This was the first time she had ever hit me, my jaw dropped as the sting begins to sink into my face. I looked at her, her face still seeping with anger. Not an ounce of regret on her face, but my words still stay silent as I wasn't sure on what to say. She slaps me again but this time harder, my face is pulsing as she stands up and walks towards the window. She takes a moment as she watches the rain splat onto the window, and folds her arms. Slowly, she takes a sigh and turns to me.

"Your Dad would of still been alive if it wasn't for you, you will never be no granddaughter of mine. Nothing but poison'' She grumbles walking towards the kitchen door, she places her hand on the doorknob. Taking one last sigh before entering to the kitchen. The words, sunk into my mind. I knew she was just trying to blame me for my Dads death because she had no one else to take it out on. But the words still hurt, I knew i wanted to leave I had to get out. I take my coat and open the front door, closing it carefully behind me. My face still aches, as I start to walk, I wasn't sure where I was going but anywhere is better than there. The rain, drizzles onto my hair and down my face and my mascara began to run.

Questions begin to spin around in my mind like a broken carousel. How did he even know where I lived? Why did he save me? I sit on a bench as I listen to the cars pass in the background, and splash onto the puddles. The rain gets heavier, as the night grew darker. The realisation, hit when I had no one...I was only existing. I never really had any dreams, nothing spoke out to me...I was only ever focused on running into the room when I heard shouting or the glass smashing. I never really had a moment to my self or an ounce of guidance. I sighed as I watched the street lights grow brighter debating on my next move. I stood up and began to walk again, I walked up a bridge looking over the edge watching the water furiously smash against the rocks. As the thunder began the rumble in the sky. I place my back against the, steel bridge. A tear ran down my face, as I took a breath. I seen a lorry heading up the bridge, the wind made the back of the lorry sway abruptly. As it approached, I closed my eyes.

"I'll see you soon mum" I whispered squeezing my eyes tightly, running into the middle of the darkened road. I heard one last sound of the lorry beeping, as I felt someone grip my waist, I opened my eyes and seen, the tattoo man. I looked down and seen the river crashing against the rocks as he grips onto a tree. I let out a squeal, grabbing onto him for dear life, as he stares at me with confusion in his eyes. He slides me onto his back, my arm gripping around his neck squeezing him, as if my life depended on it. I heard a laugh as he jumped down a drop, and began running. I felt sick as he began sprinting through the forests. I've never seen someone run as fast as him, i've never seen someone jump as high as him. He places me down, in the middle of no where, and I started throwing up. I felt anxious, lost, confused and unsettled. I look back wiping the remains of sick on my face as i stood still light headed.

"Are you fucking crazy?" He stares, with confusion in his eyes as he scanning my body. He walks over, and notices the hand print on my face, my body froze. He places his hand gently underneath my chin turning it to the side staring at the hand print on my face. I looked into his eyes but he ignored it as his eyes just focused on the, redness on my cheek. He places his hand on the mark, and i felt his body relax for a second but he takes a step back, and he tenses back up.
"Answer me- what are you thinking? Why the fuck would you fling your self?'' The coldness in his tone comes back as he, steps back and the twigs crunch underneath his feet.

"Me? What about you? You literally killed someone? You-you jumped down a massive tree like it was nothing? Ran faster than the winds, and you're asking me questions? I DONT EVEN KNOW YOUR FUCKING NAME!" I began waving my hands around furiously. The anger, flood through my veins, how dare he? Does he think he's some sort of hero what shows up? "YOU CAN ANSWER ME!" I approach him and began looking up at his face, i'm not sure what was going through my head. But I just wanted at least some normality in this situation and be able to get some answers.

"My name-" He pauses and looks at me confused. "My names Leo, what you saw was business. It is the way the world works? I don't kill because I want to but sometimes you have to. There will always be someone bigger, they got them self in situations they can't get out of. What I am is not important, but what I can become is so much more. I expect you to answer me now." His tone is enough to send shivers down a million men's spines. The name Leo meant lion in latin, a brave leader. Someone who rules, yet will show no mercy. I knew he meant business, but why would he want to tell me any of this?

"It doesn't take a geniuses to figure out. I wanted to kill my self Leo. There is nothing more, for me here. Important people in my life are now gone." I take a breath, before staring at him. "You killed a person who had family, who had a reason to live. Regardless of what they might of done, you have innocent blood on your hands" As I looked at his face, it showed no regret nor remorse. He did not care, nor nothing mattered to him. He's a monster.

Leo walked over to me and placed his hand on my cheek. His hands were ice cold, and I was already shivering. He gave a smirk before continuing to speak. "You do have a reason. Join me, I can give you a life a one what's much different from the one you live. You won't have to worry about anything. But you've seen to much to say no, I could kill you right now. But...deep down I know you don't want to die- I'd say risk it all. But what is there to risk when you have nothing?"

He places his hands on either one of my shoulders, and continued to speak. "He was not innocent- he did me very wrong. I tracked him for a few months, I may of had his blood on my hands, but he had my mothers on his. He is the beginning of my vengeance. I will tear anything down, I let my barriers down once and I never will again. My men are stronger than ever, we have allies across the entire world. I see potential in you."

He takes his hands of my shoulder. I'm lost in every word he had just spoken. He is right I do have nothing to risk, I have no home or family merely any friends. No one will remember me if i die, i'd be in the local news paper if that...people will pretend for a few weeks till the next big thing happens. Everything is happening so fast, I want to take the leap, but would it be worth risking?

I take a sigh as my final decision rolled of my tongue...
