It was a cold, breezy morning and Bella was on her morning stroll when she came to an old, fancy-looking manor, with giant black gates keeping everyone out. She stood and wondered what was hidden behind the gates.
"Hm, that's interesting. What's so secretive that it's got to be locked away like this? " Bella reflected to herself.
Bella snaps out of her curious thoughts and carries on walking home. It was 8am and the sun was hiding behind the clouds. A raven flew out in front of her, missing her head by an inch.
" WOAH! " Shouted Bella while ducking down to avoid the raven.
Confused at why there's a raven out at 8 a.m, she carries on her walk home.
Finally reaching home, a small house with white bricks on the outside and a dark grey roof, she pulls out her keys and unlocks her door and goes in.
After entering her nice, warm home, she puts her keys on the table next to the front door after locking the door behind her.
"Wow, what a night." "Said Bella with relief that she was home from her night shift, which she had just finished."
Bella hates her job, but it pays well, so she does it. It's a job stocking shelves in a small, dirty retail shop.
She hates getting hit on constantly and getting yelled at by the drunks.
She decides to get changed for bed. She goes to her bedroom, puts on some pyjamas, and gets into bed.
Eight hours have passed and Bella awakens; she's finally got a day off. She drags herself out of bed and gets changed into a sweater and some sweat pants, something comfortable since she's not doing anything today.
She heads downstairs and starts making some lunch.
Meanwhile, at the manor,
There was no sound coming from the manor, only ravens flying around, when suddenly...
SMASH!
A loud noise erupts from the old, dusty-looking manor, something that sounds like china plates breaking.
"Mey Rin, we've told you that you need to stop rushing around! " With a cigarette between his lips, one of the cooks named Bard yells.
"Oh, I know, I'm terribly sorry, young Lord!" Mey Rin yells as she rushes to clean up the mess she's made.
It's fine, mey rin, you do this at least four times a week, we're used to it now. " So said the young lord of the manor calmly.
A 6 foot tall, black-haired, pale-skinned gentleman appears to be the butler of the manor from across the floor.
He starts slowly walking over to the smashed China plates on the floor.
How many times do you have to break the porcelain mey rin? said the butler.
She shook her head in disappointment at what she had just done.
