I took her into a place where I knew was the most safe place. It's an abandoned church from which I always visit every time I am out of that suffocating Underworld--that lethal Hell. I covered her a green silky blanket that was embroidered by petal roses, which I took...I stole... in a house near this church. I wondered why I have not caused great destructing things to her by the time I touched her soft white skin in her collapsing moment. Oh! I remember that she is not really a human, she is just like me.
I was once an angel. I was cursed. Yes. And I am a curse now, got the premise?
Every time that I touch something, terrible things would happen. The cause of the collapsing buildings, droughting rivers and streams, flooding heavy rains, and the famine bringer is no other than me. It is I. Those catastrophic, harmful, ruinous, wreckful calamities and tragedies were not really my intension. They just happen without my consent, without my will.
I took a glimpse at her slumbering body and saw her melancholic face. Even in her sleep she is very sad, and I can feel her radiating it. I leaned and moved her soggy hair that was scattered along her face out of her nose. The angelic, lovely, beautiful, and sad face (at the same time) of hers lures me, and I cannot keep myself on not to look at her tempting image. I sat upon her right side.
Why d'you want me to feel that I need to care you? Why d'you want me to feel that you're the most important thing in the whole universe? Why d'you want me to feel not to leave you?
Argh!!! I am getting crazy!!! And I know those aren't her wills but I can't even make my way out of you. It feels that you emit such magnetic force. So powerful, so captivating.I planned to leave her that night, but wanting to caress and care her stopped me to think to go. The lovely beautiful rising sun approached me and this girl who is slumbering. I have not realize that it is already morning. Rays of the bright sun are scattering along the vicinity.
I am going to take my flight out of this abandoned ruined church. My wings are out starting to flap quietly, and then someone held my right foot as I am going to soar smoothly. Triste was holding my foot so tight, like a chain that binds it, like she was never going to let it go."You're leaving?" She asked in a silent tone.
"Ahm..." I have no things to say. She unimpeded me out of her hands then wipes her teary eyes from her sleep.
"I am counting your chances." She said while I stopped on taking my flight. "You're just going to leave just like... your legion? Ha!"
What?! Every little thing that is coming from her mouth really struck me in awe. It is like she knows me a lot even my job as a soul reaper. Grins are covering her whole smiles together with her lovely eyes.
"What did you just said?"
"You really forgotten what have you done with your legion? How pitiful!"
My head started to spin when I heard the legion, my legion.
Pictures of my history flashed fast. Memories of my hurtful past made me to suffer like I am in a mental torture."You left them in the battle. You left them fleeing yourself into your safety. You really are a goner! Coward as they said."
"Why you're accusing me like a criminal? First of all you're not there when I fled."
She did not say something in return. I took my focus out of her face and examined this grassy and ruined building. It is a massive old Roman Catholic church that has destroyed roofs and marble statues, statues of saints and other religious characters, and there is one thing that caught my attention--a statue of an old friend.
I saw the statue's pair of white wings tucked in his back, pointing against the direction of the blue sky. He has a golden band in his forehead, golden belt in his waist from where his golden sword was wedded, and he was also handling a white marble bowl that intends to contain Holy Water. The dusty statue of that angel...that old companion...that old close friend of mine made me to shudder.
