It was Friday in the evening I was planning to surprise my boyfriend. I also bought a cake and a gift for him. Bella left a message with me earlier that Rocky had come home from Italy and planned to surprise him here at a famous restaurant because he will go here later to eat so I hurried to tell my boss about it. I wondered at first in her message why did she find out first that Rocky had come home because I am Rocky's girlfriend and he is my boyfriend! I just left work earlier but before I left, my Boss Sir Lucas scolded me but he still allowed me because he couldn't do anything that I really wanted. After all, I was new to them.
It's my second day at the Bar. 'Yes, you're right' I work at the bar as a table girl, but I won't have sex with men who date me even if I'm forced to. I had to work because my parents died in an accident I have no choice but to seek life and rely on my own feet even my grandmother and my grandfather want to take care of me but I did not agree, I don't want my aunt Olivia to think that I am the black sheep in their family.
"I need a reservation for two people" I said.
I parted the hair that was blocking my face.
"Okay this way ma'am" she said while she started to lead me to the way where the table was for me and Rocky.
Nag tanong pa siya kung may kailangan pa daw ba ako pero umiling ako sakaniya ang gave her a sweet smile then she bow her head and left. I looked at my cellphone when it beep with a new message from Bella,
'Where are you right now?' I frowned as I saw her text and I immediately typed
'I'm here at the restaurant where you said I would surprise Rocky'
Hindi na muli siyang na reply kaya nag masid masid ako sa paligid para hintayin si Rocky baka mamaya makaligtaan ko na pala siyang nag lalakad dito sa loob.
While waiting, I looked at the man isang matangkad at maputing lalaki he has a familiar figure to me but I just watched him because he was handsome in what he was wearing. The black suit he was wearing was just good for him ang lakas maka attract.
Pero nang humarap ito saakin hindi niya ako napansin at siya nga! I have a strong suspicion that he is Rocky and if anything had changed in him it was the color of his skin that made him look better I can't believe that I hesitated at first because his skin turned white obviously because he lived in another country in almost 2 years.
Unti unti ako tumayo para salubungin siya when suddenly my phone rang it was Bella again, annoyed I answered that while still looking at Rocky who seemed to be waiting for someone. I smiled thinking that I was the one he was waiting for.
"Bella what is it?" naiirita kong tanong sakaniya
"Chrysanthemum, listen to me get out of there now!"
My smile drops hearing the tone of my best friend's voice. She's not sharing my enthusiasm, she's not in sync with my happiness. But I ignored her tone and start rambling. Siya iyong nag sabi na surpresahin ko si Rocky dito and then now this is the tone of her voice that she want me hear today? and also, want me to leave? What the fuck is wrong with this woman!
"What the fuck are you saying now Bella Cortez? Hindi ba't ikaw ang dahilan kung bakit ako andito ngayon?" I said with my irritating voice habang titig na titig padin kay Rocky kating kati ng makalapit at makayakap siya this Bella is starting getting on my nerves.
But my jaw drop when he started to pull out something in his pocket. My heart started beating faster than normally does, and my eyes widened. A small red box and he slowly opened it that contained an engagement ring inside it I knew my eyes aren't blurry because I could see how that thing shone!
