home sweet home

I sat still on the comfortable peace of drift wood, my eyes closed, my shoulders relaxed and my jaw unclenched. Ever thought in my head dissolved and every anxiety in my body vanished. I heard nothing but the loud crashing of the waves hitting the near by cliff. I smelt nothing but the bitter sweet sent of salt water. I felt nothing but the sand between my toes and the cold wind gently piercing my skin. I took a deep breath of fresh air into my corrupted lungs. A familiar sense of safety
Washed over me. I was home.
