Love is one of the only aspects of consistency expressed by the human race, whether it be for an object, a person or your own vanity. However, a less enjoyable but equally common human endeavor is that of suffering in its many, contagious forms.

Over the course of her life, Davina noted that there were various aspects of suffering and she found the worst one to be loneliness. She had made a lot of poor choices in her life solely from her fear of being alone, one of them included befriending the most insufferable group of people she had ever met in her life. Despite this however, she nodded her head aimlessly at each word they spoke, Mikes unsubtly flirtatious comments, Jessica's obvious passive aggression, Angela's continuous rambling and so on. For most of their conversations Davina sat zoned out, she found that the conversations conducted in her mind were far more interesting (and legible) than that of real life.

Davina loved partaking in conversation, when the conversations were not spoken by vapid narcissists and were interesting. She didn't find that it was necessary for all conversation to be stimulating or intelligent, as long as it was enjoyable and comfortable. As she sat there dissociated from her surroundings she found that the people around her were neither enjoyable nor made her comfortable. Thus she began to erase her surroundings with the replacement of her own thoughts, thoughts that varied different themes.

Rosalie Hale and Edward Cullen were sitting at their usual table, as silent as Davina. However, due to her disassociation, Davina did not seem to notice the wavering glares Rosalie was giving her from across the cafeteria, whereas Bella Swan was perfectly aware of the gazes she was exchanging with Edward Cullen.

"Do you smoke?" Jessica asked rather suddenly much to Davina's confusion.

"Why would you ask?" She answered as gently as possible

"Yeah cause I don't wanna seem rude but you kind of make it reek around here."

Davina feigned a soft laugh in order to remain in chorus with the rest of the group finding humor in her unnecessary common.

"Well since you brought it up I might need another, I'll see you guys later."

Davina spoke to Jessica in a manner so gentle that an outsider who wasn't paying much attention wouldn't have noted her attempt of matching Jessica's passive aggressiveness. Although it appeared that Jessica herself didn't note it at all.

She exited that cafeteria and proceeded to walk a short distance away from the school ground, just far enough to ensure that she would not catch the eye of anyone associated to her campus, and she continued to sustain the addiction that was passed onto her by her mother.

There was not a single sound except for her occasion exhales, but for Davina silence was non existent. Her cycle of thoughts ran in a manner that made sure they were continuous, she quite literally never stopped thinking and occasionally she couldn't tell if that was a gift or a curse. She wished other people thought as much as she did, not because she wanted people to be smarter, she did not think people had to be smart to be good company and she never held anyone to particular standards. It was rather that she wished someone understood her, understood that for her silence was never an option.

As she took another exhale, she found herself enraptured by the smell of her cigarette, while Rosalie succumbed to the smell coursing through her veins. She was an addict, wanting to feed her addiction, she told herself to get closer, that it was okay, she didn't want to taste her she just wanted to smell her. She wouldn't hurt her, she wouldn't touch her, what harm would she cause by continuing to sustain the intoxication of her scent? And so she got closer, with each exhale from Davina's cigarette she could smell her better. She needed more, she felt her breath getting heavy at the sight of her, she felt the phantom vibrations of her fingers running softly amongst Davina's neck, how softly she'd press her lips against them before sinking herself in.

She could practically feel her, feel the way her body would fall into her arms and become one with her, feel the way her blood would pump faster as she sucked into her. She wanted more, just a little bit closer. She shouldn't have followed her but she couldn't stand being away from her.

Davina felt the hairs rise on the back of her neck, she felt shivers down her spine that she blamed on the nicotine. She screamed softly in pain, as one of the embers carried from the wind to her opposite arm. "Shit."

She put her intoxication out on the ground as Rosalie watched hers walk away, back onto the grounds.

She made her way back into the cafeteria, where they were continuously conversing. Jessica gave her a distasteful look "you can get into trouble for that you know?" Davina didn't regard her with an answer. She simply proceeded to lose herself in her previous thoughts. As she looked around the cafeteria she noted the Cullens seated together, except this time she took attention towards the dark gaze of the beautiful blonde. She turned to look away unbothered by her vicious looks.

"Hey, you know that girl right, the pretty blonde?" She asked Angela

"Yeah Rosalie."

"Do you think she has a problem with me?"

"I think she has a problem with everyone."
