13 States Would Break Away

Thirteen states would break away

To fight bitterly for the same pay

To have ownership over souls they don't own.

In order to have easy labor in the home.

The cotton wasn't picked.

Cattle went without hay.

Men were dying.

Ancient battlefields are where they lay.

The country was broken

Torn, ripped, and open.

Salt was poured in the wound

When the commander was doomed.

A shot through the head.

He lay there, dead.

All the spectators could see

Was the blanket of red.

Sic Semper Tyrannis

Spat with such malice

So much murder

For a motive so callus.

Was equality worth it?

Worth all the flames lit?

If you ask me, men,

It should be done again.

Our freedom is broken

In modern day times

How can I put it

In short little rhymes?

I'll tell you how

Our time is now

Our time to act out

And scream and shout

We must stop the torture,

The tyranny, and poachers.

We must love fellow man

Or go to war again.

Love everyone

Put down your guns

No matter the race,

Gender, or who they love.

If we can do this

A battle will be missed

Now shut down your computer

Or your phone's browser list

And help the cause

To stop a brawl

Or thirteen states will break away

Right now, here, on this very day.
