He doesnt love me...

Y/N pov: "It's hard to believe it's been almost 2000 years since you've met venti!" Paimon yelled

"I agree! It feels like yesterday since I've met him!" Y/N said in response

"Speaking of, how did you meet venti Y/N?"
Aether looked quite curious

"I met barbatos when the archon war started! Everyone on the team was absolutely Amazing when they did their part to help out!"

All three of them heard the happy music notes from a lyre, from the one and Only

"Hey guys! Nice to see you here!"
"Hey venti!" Aether greeted

"Heyyy paimonnn~~" venti and Paimon had a love hate relationship, they were friends, but Paimon always refused to admit it, maybe, Y/N and Aether don't really know at this point.

"Get away from me you tone deaf bard!"
"Awe cmon aren't we friendsss~~?"
"NO GET AWAY FROM ME"
Paimon floated higher to get away from venti

Venti smirked like he had just won an arguement and sat down next to you Y/N

"So how ya doing guys?"

"Good until you showed up!"
Paimon always had something to say when it came to venti, it was actually quite annoying at times

Y/N scoffed at Paimon
"Hey! What's so funny about Paimon? Huh?!"
You couldn't help but burst into laughter
"Oh please Paimon! Who wouldn't listen to the way you talk and burst out laughing!"

Paimon kicked her legs in the air like it would hurt anyone, the only thing she could be able to hurt is a fly, which would barley even hurt whichever fly managed to get tangled in that mess of legs.

"Calm down Paimon it's not a big deal-" said Aether

"ILL SHOW YOU BIG DEAL!" Paimon argued

Aether and Paimon argued like Tom and jerry so Y/N and venti decided to catch up.

"So Y/N what's been cooking lately? We haven't really seen each other for awhile!"

"I've been busy helping Aether, but seems like I'm finally done so YOU don't have have to be so jealous anymore!"

Y/N and venti always had a relationship where they teased each other

"Like I would be jealous that you hang out with guys other than me!"

Venti chuckled but almost sarcastically, like when your forcing yourself to laugh to not feel left out of the joke, when really don't get the joke.

Y/N felt a little disappointed, almost like they wanted him to feel jealousy, but he didn't.

Venti pov:

Of course Y/N is as blind as always

I slouched in my chair I was thinking how to get Y/N to take even the slightest hint

"So Y/N you seeing anyone?"

Y/N scoffed
"Of course I'm not, the only candidates for me to be able to date would be you or the other gods and 7 archons."

Did they just say ME?

"I'll order some food for us~ the usual I presume?"

Y/N nodded, I really just needed to get away from Y/N so they wouldn't see me as red as a tomato.

If they knew my feelings.. and didn't feel the same.. I could ruin a friendship with someone I've known ever since the archon war thousands of years ago...

Maybe it just isn't meant to be..

Aether POV:

it's so clear they are in love with each other, how blind are they to the point that they avoid each other just to think about it

It's pointless to not tell them myself but I do like me some drama, so why should I tell them? Of course that wouldn't be good friend behavior, but I feel like it's better for them to find out on their own terms...

I'll go talk to venti-

I walked over to venti (like the flawless person I am of course)

"Venti your an idiot"

"I would go as far to say IDIOT but maybe just stupid."

"Dude they clearly like you all the signs are there"

"Eeeh~ idk they probably don't, hinting to them would be the best option not to r-"

"I don't wanna hear it just confess already!"

"OR-"

"Oh my barbatos."

"Hear me out! What if I sent them love letters Hinting I'm in love with them? Then they will fall in love with me for sure!"

"well they're already in love with you but hinting would be the best way since you don't wanna tell them yourself"

Y/N POV:

Will he ever see me the same way? DOES he even feel the same way about me?

"Hello Y/N~ I ordered our fooooodd! The good hunter never fails to bring the best food in mondstadt!"

I laid my head on my hand, I was really tired of this day, he's so blind, he can't even pick up ANY hints that I've sent him through the years.

Perhaps I'll just give up, since he clearly isn't getting it.

Venti POV:

Y/N seems upset, I wonder if they're all right..

"Hey Y/N... you ok? You seem off today.."

"Yeah.. I'm fine.. I'm just in a bad mood.."

"Why? Do you wanna talk about it?"

"No... thanks.. I'm good.."

"Ok.. we'll.. if you wanna talk about it you know where to find me"

It pains me to see Y/N so upset, is it something I said? Nooo...

Well what could it have been? Maybe I'm just overthinking things, yeah... Y/N is just in a bad mood and doesn't wanna talk about it!

That's all... right?

I scooted my chair closer to Y/N

"Y/N why are you so down?"

"I'm just in a bad mood.."

Y/N was still upset, I don't know why, maybe I'm just being to concerned about Y/N.

I wrapped my arms around Y/N and tightly hugged them

"If you ever wanna talk I'm always here for you Y/N..."

Y/N POV:

"Thanks venti... your really sweet..."

I wrapped my arms around venti and we hugged. Whenever i was in a dull moment, venti was always there, I wanna be there for him someday.

Some might argue I've already been there for him plenty of times, but I don't agree with them.
