~Chapter Start~

Miko POV

It was dark out as I was walking home after a disappointing and emotionally draining day.

Miko: 'Man this sucks, after spending 15,920 yen on those stupid prayer beads only to have them break on me at the first sign of trouble, I really thought the one I got from that old lady was going to work too, well I guess that's what I get for getting my hopes up'.

Miko:'At least I'm almost home, hopefully none of those horrible spirits will show up at home today so I can just relax,'

Miko:*sigh* 'I don't think my heart can take anymore of those scary ass spirits today,'

As I was turning into an alleyway that leads to my house I noticed the alleyway was covered in those spirits.

Miko:'come on you've got to be kidding me right now, what did I do to deserve this'.

As I was gathering up courage to walk through them I took one step forward putting on my best poker face hoping they wouldn't notice that I could see them. Then all of a sudden a mysterious boy dropped from the rooftops landing in the middle of all of them and as he was pulling out his sword he spoke.

???:Don't worry young lady you're safe now because I AM HERE!

And before any of the spirits could react to his sudden appearance he cut them all down, and as he sheathed his katana the spirits started to dissolve in particles then floated into the sky. He briefly closed his eyes and brought a palm up to the front of he's face and said.

???: látom

While all this was happening I was in complete shock

Miko:'Who the hell is this boy. How did he do that and what the hell is he. He can't be human.'

~Few minutes earlier~

Y/N POV

I was on patrol jumping from roof to roof looking for spirits to purge but to be honest I don't know why I do it. I just woke up one day with no memory of who or what I am. All I knew is that my name is Y/N and that I have to purge the spirits wandering this city, but I still don't understand why to this day. Yeah I knew some of them were evil but not all of them, I purge them nonetheless. I mean I got nothing better to do, no one can see me besides the spirits but it's not all doom and gloom some times I walk into movie theaters to catch a move and other times I sneak into people's houses to watch anime or watch people playing video games. Even though sneaking into other people's houses does make me sound pretty bad but doesn't matter when no one can see you but if I'm being completely honest I'm actually pretty lonely I just wish there was someone I could talk to. Suddenly I was pulled out from my train of thoughts then I felt a big group of spirits ahead of me in a nearby alleyway, the prayer bead necklace around my neck started to glow too meaning there was a pretty nasty evil spirit up ahead or something powerful was up ahead I guess it's show time. As I got there I looked down, in the middle of the alleyway I saw a big group of spirits and a big spirit oozing an evil Aura around him. At one of the entrance ways to the alley I noticed a young girl standing there in a teal Hoodie, I smiled.

Y/N: I guess it's time to get to down to business I will put on a good show for her even though... no... one.. can see me *sigh* damn I made my self depressed.
