CHAPTER FOUR || Incompetent Asses

The distant chatter of voices sound from the distant, waking me up from my deep slumber. I groan, and roll to my side—grabbing my phone from a small compartment on the wall. I hear Scarlet—who was on the bunk above me—shift around lazily, but I paid no attention.

I unlock my phone, and check my messages from my family and my close friends. As soon as I click on my friend Claire's message, a burst of laughter erupted from the main room in front of us.

I roll my eyes, hearing my friends groan and wake up.

"What was that?" Adelaide whines on the bunk beside mine.

"Isn't it obvious? This dicks we're on tour with," Scarlet growls, as she slips down from her perch and head to small bathroom in our space.

Another round of laughter, louder than the last, sounds. "Fuck no," I think out loud, hopping off my bed to tell them off.

I slid the small door that separates our space to the main living space, and frown at the scene before me.

The boys are surround the stove, seemingly looking down amused at the pan on it. Their gazes turn to mine, and they stare. Not to mention the smoky smell in the air.

"What the fuck is all this racket?! We're trying to sleep," I frown, trying to get a peek at the stovetop.

"It's literally eleven," Daniel pipes for his friends.

I put my hands on my hips, and snap, "what's your point?"

Daniel looks at his friends with a confused face, and turns back to me, "it's pretty late to be sleeping...why should we be quiet?"

"Well...we sleep this late. Meaning you need to be more quiet! And what's the smell?" I sniff, looking around the cramped area.

"Look Cleo, we can't promise we will be super quiet at 11AM!!" Corbyn rolls his eyes, ignoring my question.

"Then we have a problem Boyer!" I shoot back.

"It's not our fault you sleep so damn late!" Corbyn huffs back, pointing to our door.

"Well I didn't ask to share this van with y'all!" I fume, my eyebrows furrowing.

He waves a hand angrily, "news flash, we didn't either!"

Zach speaks up, "yeah! You get mad for the most stupid things."

"Just be quieter!"

Daniel responds, "no, we shouldn't have to be quiet at 11AM!"

"Then I have a problem!" I declare, hugging my chest because I was chilly in my tank top.

"Well deal with it because we're not changing anything," Jack frowns.

"Oh my god, you guys are fucking children," I move towards the stove, and the boys scramble away.

My eyes widen at the sight of burnt eggs and pancakes. "You can't cook either?!"

"It doesn't concern you," Jack simply says.

"Clean it up," I demand with a motherly demeanor, before walking towards my room, muttering, "incompetent asses."

The boys didn't say anything as I turn and I stop at a crack in the laminated floor, and stare at it. This was supposed to be a 'high-quality' van.

I roll my eyes, and slip through our door, closing it. My eyes swept across around the small rectangular room, four bunks and a small door to the bathroom.
