"Tilt your head to the side a bit." Josh says focused on his painting.

I tilted my head.

"No."

He walks up to me then lifts my chin up.

I blushed.

I rarely came into contact with boys. Litterally the last boy that touched me was in 2nd grade. (He tapped me on the shoulder for my animal crackers)

"Just like that.." he walks back to where his canvas was.

"This better be a good painting. " I said trying to remain still as possible.

"Or else?"

A smirk appeared on his lips.

I glared at him.

the teacher walked around the class observing the paintings.

"Anndd done." Josh puts his brush down on the table.

"I can see it now?" I said.

I got up to see a purple stick figure, which I was assuming that was me, he used blue paint as background and green paint as my features such as my nose and mouth.

I laughed. "This doesn't really look like me!"

he places his hands on his chest to appear being offended "Yes it does!"

"How dare you insult my masterpiece!"
I laughed even harder.

You're a masterpiece. Josh.

Stop. Stop it jamie.

"Alright, alright I'll give you props at least you drew a body. " I gave in.

He pumped his hands in the air like he achieved something. "Yes!"

For the rest of the class I stared at him. He had pretty long eyelashes, and his short sleeve shirt gave me a peak of those muscles. We were writing down our resolutions, or how we can make out paintings look better in the future. He was focused. I turned away before he caught me staring. That would have been embarrassing.

The bell rang, and as students strolled out of the classroom Josh and I were the last ones to exit.

"Hey," he began. " since we're working on this project we're ganna have to keep in touch. "

Keep in touch?

Is he gonna ask me for my number?

I was quick to make that question true.

"Oh well, I'll give you my number and you can give me yours " I said smiling while pulling out a piece of paper out of my backpack. he did the same.

I quickly wrote my number and gave it to him.

"Here you go." He hands me the teared piece of lined paper. I safely placed it in my pockets.

"Thanks. We should talk about the project tonight... unless you'really busy with practice or something --"

He quickly interrupted me, "no it's fine. We can talk about the project tonight. " his pearly teeth peeked through.

Oh God.

That smile.

Ugh.

"Alright, Well see ya! " I said before walking away. He waved Goodbye and so did I.

"What's the deal with domestic violence?
A man shouldn't hit a woman no matter what. Even if a woman hits a man, he should be collective and at least try not to hurt the woman he loves."
