Carmine College, a five star school for people who have an unusual aptitude for anything life threw at them. A one star college was the lowest on the totem poll of knowledge the students learned. And if that was the lowest, then a five star was the highest you could get in terms of everything in life you could ever learn. I felt proud of myself that through all the studying I subjected myself to, I finally made it into the best college of the country. Looking out of window of my small cubical on the buss, I thought of what knowledge would await me at the CC.
What else I could learn about the world and it's generations upon generations of ancestors of humans. After a few minutes of looking out the window, I began to people watch. One of my many things to do. I find it interesting to view people in their every day lives. A little boy, about 9 years old, dragging his mother over to what looks to be a green and white roof of a small ice cream vendor.
A large smile on his face. The mother, with a reluctant but warm smile herself, allowed herself to be pulled along by her son. An old man walking at a small pace, but viewing the world around him like it was a long time since he had gotten out of the house. Now he, I could relate to. I smiled a nostalgic smile, if not a little sad.
I remember when mom use to take me on boats to see the sights. A few dolphins hear and their, a school of whales swimming along side their newborn baby's, and finally the water as it splashed up against the boat drenching us to our heads. She use to laugh and laugh whenever that happened because she'd see my drenched annoyed face. But then I'd laugh right after her, getting cracked up by how hard she'd laugh. But now? Now she isn't hear and time couldn't stop just for one person.
I closed my eyes for a moment, hearing the mundane chatter of people and their many issues all around me like white noise. After a few minutes had passed, a monotone voice announced
"Those now arriving at Carmine College, please exit at the rear door of the buss in an orderly fashion to avoid injury, thank you" their was a click, and then the shuffle of feet and murmuring of people grew louder.I got up and something cracked in my leg when I raised my arms to pull out my black suitcase that housed all of my living items. Well that'll teach me. I winced and almost dropped my suitcase had another hand not shot out and held it in place.
Startled, I looked up after checking out my cast covered leg to find a set of jet black hard eyes looking at me.
"Oh thank..." I started to say but was interrupted as he turned on his heal and left after I secured a hold on my things. Uhh, what was that? Maybe he didn't hear me or something? Well he's gone now. If I see him again I'll just repay the favor, rude or not, I don't do IOU's. Even if it was from a dick. I learned that the hard way. After I had my luggage down I got off the buss and started to walk down the long stretch of trees that bordered the schools grounds until I got to a big brass iron gate. Looking through the bars, you could tell that this is definitely the best school that the Kingdom of Frayaguard had to offer. Measuring at 270 meters long, and 86 meters tall, I can confidently say that this is the tallest building I've ever seen in my life. They'd have to have a lot of funds to build something as big as this. A small green light lit up the space between the gate and the outer wall of the property.
A female voice called out "Name?"
"Ah Anita, Anita Castor?" I said.
After a few moments standing their, another click and the gates slowly opened admitting me. I slowly walked past them. After a few minutes of walking, I stoped and struggled to open the small compartment of the suitcase I brought with me. Slipping a medium size paper out of my bag, I looked at the first floor map I had gotten after being emailed by the school.
