Chapter 2: Chocolate Eggs? This Is As Good As It's Gonna Get

I woke up the next morning with a frown on my face. First day of my god damn school. Oh and it's my mother's birthday. Which means she's allowed to boss us around without us whining or moaning about it. I looked at my clock and it was only 5:30 am. Who wakes up at 5:30! Me probably? I heard something break, it sounded like a vase or any other thing that includes glass in it. I shifted out from my bed and man was it cold. I opened my door carefully, avoiding it to squeak. I poked my head outside to see if someone was there. Coast is clear. I heard the breaking sound again and it came from downstairs.The kitchen!I walked out from my room, stepping on the 'non' squeaky floor. I made my way to the kitchen and saw someone's shadow. Maybe it was mom? No. It looked like a guy to me. I sat on the stool and it was... Johnny?
"Why are you up so early?" I scoffed. He looked my way. His eyes still closed. Then they fluttered open. guess he was half asleep?
"Uh, Oh hi,*yawned* Mom said to make breakfast. So here I am." He said rubbing his eyes
"Why did she ask you? We all know you are the most 'sucky' cook in this family. " I smiled
"Hey, I'm trying okay?" He pouted
"Okay," He got back to see what he was cooking but it was steaming to much
"Uh, what exactly are you cooking?" I asked. I Really don't know what it is.
"Omelette." He protested "For realz?" I asked "Yes!" he snapped
"Why is it steaming to much then?" I said sarcastically crossing my arms
"Isn't it supposed to be?" He raised an eyebrow. Obviously I rolled my eyes " No. Let me see that" I took the spatula from him and checked the so called 'omelette' he's doing. It was steaming to much. I put the spatula under the omelette and flipped it. I frowned. It was black. One side was black and one side was yellow. I turned around to face Johnny as he frowned with dissappointment.
"It's okay John, atleast you tried. Just uh, call it.... Chocolate Eggs." I suggested. Wow nice imaginasion
"Chocolate Eggs?" He wondered. "Yeah, that will work. I guess"
"It will. Now I gotta go" I teased
"Okay" He siad still frowning. I went inside the bathroom and took a shower. By the time I finished, it was 6:23am. Wow, too early. My school starts at 8:00 am. I got out of the bathroom and saw Jason waiting outside
"About time" He scoffed
"Sorry" I said sarcastically. I got dressed really fast. I don't know why. I mean, I have lots of time to dress up. I picked my white tight top with my checkered mini skirt and converse with my red stripped hoodie. Good enough for me. I picked a small bag to put my gadgets in and one pen. I never dress fancy or nicely nor bring all my books during first days. All we do on first days is go tou our classes, teachers will introduce themselves. And we're all going to play a game of 'remember everyones name' shit. So in other words. Real school starts at the second day really.
By the time I got out of my room, all dressed, everyone else is wide awake. I could hear the kids whining about the food. I went downstairs to the kitchen and sat on one of the stools smirking at Johnny.
"Stop whining and just eat it.." Johnny interrupted
"John, what is it anyway?" Alex asked
"Chocolate Eggs. And don't call me John" He said proudly. Obviously Daniel, 'the Gulible Idiot' said "OH! Chocolate eggs are yummy.. but It ain't easter yet John." Daniel said looking up. Imagining.
"Hmmm? I dunno Dan, why don't you taste it?" Alex suggested
"Right, good idea." He tasted it the spitted it off his mouth.. Poor Johnny.
"That's not Chocolate Eggs!" Daniel whined
"Oh nah you idiot. " Alex said. We all chuckled. Even Johnny. Mom appeared and said " Now now you boys better hurry up. It''s 7:30. School starts at 8:00! now! Chop chop!" Wow! Was she serious? I got in the bathroom at 6:45 or something.. am I that slow? We all greeted mom happy birthday and kissed her on the cheek. Then went our seperate ways. Not wanting to eat what Johnny made, I just grabbed a cereal from the closet and milk from the fridge. Jacob appeared and ate with me.
"Hey sis.." Jacob wiggling his eyebrows
"Morning." I replied. I shifted my eyes to Jacob to see what he was doing. His eyes met the 'thing' Johnny made at the center of the table. "What the hell is that?" Jacob as crunching his nose in disgust.
"Johnny made it, according to him, well really me.. It's Chocolate Eggs" I mumbled.
"Ohh.. Okay then, Pass me the cereal." I passed it to him and we both ate in silence. Once we finished it it was 7:45. I went to the sink and washed both our dishes really quickly, brushed my teeth and looked at the mirror one last time.
"Jacob!!" I yelled
"Yeah?" He answered on a distance
"Can you drive me to school please?!"
"Okay! As long as you don't wear anything inappropriate! For example. a really short skirt is a no no for me! " He shouted back from his room. I looked down on my mini skirt and groaned
"Why not!" I whined
"No jeans, No ride!" He said. I didn't really have any choice. Because everyone already left. I took my skinny jeans out and got changed, looked at myself on the mirror and sighed. I saw Jacob walk pass my room. And again.
"Have you seen my keys?" He asked
"Car?" I asked
"Oh! Don't worry! I found them! Let's go! "
"Okay! just a second!" I grabbed my spray 'impulse' and sprayed it on me. grabbed my bag and got into Jacob's awesome, clean, pleasant car. And drove to school.
