‘Run!!!’ A frail woman from among the crowd yelled, trying to keep her 6 children in sight. 1 or 2 will probably get lost in the chaos.

Ahmad’s hand kept slipping from his mother’s hand as he struggled to keep pace with her as she tried to herd him and his 3 siblings away from the chaos

Everyone was lost in the madness, and Ahmad slipped into his childhood fantasies, oblivious to the lurking attackers, as were all the other villagers.

Their community was surrounded by a thick and dense forest that was infamously difficult to navigate. Only veteran hunters and adventurers knew their way around the forest, and it was obvious that the villagers knew nothing about the forests and the attackers were experts, who knew their way around it.

Ahmad got jerked back to reality by the sound of blazing bullets and exploding grenades. The attackers had baited them into a larger death trap. Everybody that was already confused got even more confused as a result.

Ahmad's mother decided that she wasn't going to have all her kids die in the hands of these monsters. ‘Get on a tree, climb up as high as you can, into a very thick part of it and close your eyes. Do not make a sound, no matter what happens. Be brave, for me.’ His mother whispered to him with tears in her eyes.

Ahmad wanted to speak but his mother put a hand on his mouth and led him until they found a bunch of trees that were similar to the ones at the community park, and he climbed up one that was dense at the top. She had other plans for her other kids, but she didn't tell him because she didn't want him leaving his position.

She watched Ahmad as moved up the tree skilfully and hid between two dense branches and from that spot, he witnessed as the attackers went in full swing and the massacre of hundreds of his people unfolded before his eleven year old eyes.

His saw parents, siblings, friends. Everybody. Gone. Dead. In front of his eyes, but he clung to the tree branch he was holding because his life depended on it.
