Megan's POV

"We can talk about this." I say as Avery and Olivia are stalking towards me.

I keep walking backwards and they keep walking towards me.

"This is not fair it's two against one." I add nervously.

"The weather is good so it's a nice day for a swim." Avery reply's as she's backing me more towards the pool.

"If you push me in I'll take you with me."

"No you won't if you do you'll sleep on the couch." She says with a smirk.

There is no way she can make me sleep on the couch in my own house.

"Olivia, sweetie, I just gave you ice cream don't be evil like your mommy." She just giggles and shakes her head.

I take one more step back and I'm at the edge of the pool.

"Avery, I'll buy you anything you want just don't push me in."

"Mhm is your phone in your pocket?" She ignore what I said and asks.

"Olivia how about more ice cream?"

"Stop trying to bribe us it's not going to work." Avery replies.

She reaches out and touches my pockets. When she realizes I don't have my phone that's all it takes for her to push me in.

My body sinks to the bottom of the pool. The water isn't actually cold so I'm glad. I swim back up and see Olivia and Avery laughing.

I get out of the pool soaking wet and water is dripping everywhere.

"You look like a wet rat." Avery says while laughing.

"Thank you, that just helped boost my confidence."

I leave them both laughing by the pool and start going inside. I can't help but laugh a little myself. Those two can always bring a smile to my face.

...

Avery and I dropped off Olivia and her mom back to their house. I'm taking Avery somewhere and I just thought it would be better if it was just us two.

"Where are we going?" She asked for the hundredth time.

"You'll see, we're only 5 minutes away."

She sighs and looks out the window. We're driving the Porsche. Avery and I decided that it would be best if I drive the Porsche whenever I'm with her. I miss driving my baby it's been too long.

I'm nervous taking her to this place. This would be my first time coming here. It's been like 6 years and I've finally decided to come. I didn't think I could do it before but Avery makes me feel like I can do anything with her by my side.

I turn right and the cemetery comes in view. I hear Avery gasp but she doesn't say anything. I find the first parking spot and pull into it. Then I turn the car off but don't make any indications to get out.

"He was like a father to me and I didn't even come to his funeral. It's been six years and I haven't even been here once." I say and Avery reaches out to grab my hand.

"My dad was busy with opening the schools so he didn't really have time to go visit him. I would skip school in the morning and sneak into his hospital room so we can play chess. He had a heart problem."

"Courtney told me he left everything to you."

"He did, I didn't find out until the following week of when he passed away. I'm not sure why he left me everything. I felt bad for my dad it's not like he needed the money but in some way it felt like he was disinherited. Maybe that's why he hates me." I answer.
