third persons pov:

hope went home that evening after having a really long evening with peter, they got along so well. which proceeded to be them getting each others numbers.

peter went home that day feeling the happiest he's been since the...incident. he texted hope,

peter: hey, its peter :))

hope: oh hey! what're you doing still up? shouldn't you be asleep?

peter: im just thinking about life and other stuff i guess, you?

hope: eh idk, im just kinda sitting on my phone doing nothing.

peter: okay, well im gonna let you sleep so im not annoying for you.

hope: okay, but im like never asleep, so if you need to chat in like the middle of the night, don't be afraid to press dial number on my name :))

peter: okay, good night hope :))

hope: night pete :))

( 3 hours later-4am )

hopes pov:

i woke up to my phone buzzing next to me. had i really fallen asleep? i must've felt good today because i haven't slept in ages.
i saw the name 'peter :)' and immediately picked it up,
"hey, you okay?' i asked just before hearing hitched breathing and sobbing, i knew exactly what was happening and what i needed to do "peter, i need you to send me your address like now, please." i asked, all i got back was a small whimper from him as his address showed up on my screen. i got out of bed as quick as i could, grabbed my coat and ran out the house. luckily, his house wasn't too far from mine, i got to him in around 2 minutes, him still on the phone.

i opened his door as he left it unlocked for me and rushed to his room, "hey pete, its me hope, im gonna need you to tell me what you can see, can you do that for me?"
"u-umm, b-blood, lots-s of i-it-t"
"that's wrong, can you tell me again?"
"my room, uh, you a-and the floor?"
"thats right, okay, now can you tell me what happened?"
"umm... just the usual nightmare i guess... heh..."
"you seriously expect me to believe that? but its fine, i wont push it out of you until your ready, okay?" i smiled at him, he just nodded his head in return.

i decided i would stay the night as it was almost 5am and i didn't want peter to be alone after that, i know exactly hoe it feels and it really is bad. i told him that if he needs anything he could come to me as i was going to sleep on the couch ( DONT COME AT ME FOR THE AMERICAN 😭😭 ) for the night.

ayyyy were done with the second chapter and im proud of it even though it isnt much,
