The New Link

Four Links Once Again

It had been almoSt 2 years since Link had last drawn the Four Swords out of the stone in the sanctuary. The young hero was 15 at the time, but was soon turning 17, though even after those 2 years, he often thought about His three companions everyday ever sense they defeated the darkness. At times, you would catch his his eyes looking over at his shadow that always follows him around like an obedient puppy. It was easy to tell he missed his friends, even the shadow who changed in the end. It was no wonder why Link felt alone.

Link's P.O.V

I was walking down the hallway of the castle to the throne room where Zelda had called for me. There hasn't really been anything bad going on lately ever sense I put the Four Swords back in the stone. It was relieving yes, but also abit odd. Not even Jago's gang came back after that day.

I let out a small sigh then looked at the two guards who were standing tall at the throne room's doors. "Good morning Michael, Gabriel." I greeted with a smile which made the two guArds smile back and nod at me before they pushed the doors open for me. I walked inside before the doors closed behind me as I walked towards the throne. I knelt down on one knee while I bowed my head down aswell. "You called, Zelda?" I asked softly. "Yes I did. Thank you for coming Link." Zelda spoke gently.

I couldn't help, but slightly wince at my own name being said. I was still used to being called Green. I stood back up and looked at my childhood friend. "Why did you call me? Is there another evil?" I asked again. "I'm afraid so, but I don't know what this evil is." Zelda started. "I had a vision, though it was quite foggy, so I couldn't really see the evil clearly." She added as she stood from the throne she was sitting on then gestured for me to follow her.

I obeyed of course and followed her behind the curtains that were behind the throne into a room where the maidens were already in. "Does the evil have to do with the Four Swords?" I couldn't help but ask since I had a gut feeling it did. "Possibly, but I have good news aswell about that." Zelda said before she lookeD at all the maidens and nodded to them which made the maidens smile before they lifted up their hands slowly, making the room around us turn into the Four swords sanctuary.

My eyes widen in surprise before I looked at Zelda with a confused look. "I know how much you've missed the others, which is why me and the maidens transferred Ganan and his darkness into the stOne instead of the sword." She said softly. "I'm sorry it took a while for us to transfer him, but I think it's going to be worth the wait." She added. Small tears started to form in my eyes, but I quickly wiped them away. "Thank you. All of you." I said as I looked at Zelda and the maidens before I looked at the Four sWords.

I took one step towards the familiar sword until my eyes widen again when I saw smoke like bombs land on the ground. "Cover your mouth!" I quickly called out before the smoke bombs exploded which made smoke blind my line of vision. I coughed softly while I heard the maidens yelp aswell as Zelda calling out to me. "Link! Link!" "Zelda? PrIncess Zelda!"

I waved my hand in front of my face until the smoke finally diSappeared, but I didn't see the maidens nor Zelda. The only thing I saw was the Four swords in front of me. 'Where did they go?' I thought in worry and confusion until I shook my head. I looked at the Four Swords in front of me while I stood up and quickly graBbed the hilt of the sword then without thinking, I pulled it out and held it in the air while I said, "Four swords, give me strength!"

The light blinded me after that. When I opened my eyes after a moment, I saw three familiar faces leAning down in front of me. "Green? Green!" I heard a soft voice call out to me in a worried tone. "Wake up Green! Get up!" I heard a more rougher voice state. "Guys! I think he's waking up." I heard a plain like voice say. I let out a small groan before I slowly sat up and rubbed my heaD. I didn't even realized I fell after I drew the Four swords. "Huh?What happened?" I asked softly.

"Green..We're back to being four Links."
