(Tw: stabbing/blood)

"I look forward to working with you more, Luna."

~~~~~~
I didn't allow her to get the chance to answer back or let her fully process what had just happened while I was still present. Her presence was intoxicating enough; like a drug I wanted more and more. I doubt I could've controlled myself anymore.
Though, I bet it would've been amusing to take in her probable dumb-founded reaction if I did stayed.
"You look happy, sir."
What the!- Oh
I look at Felix.
"What makes you say that?" I ran my hand through my hair.
"Well, you're actually smiling." He states.
"I'm basically always smiling!" I counter, "but..regardless, you are correct I suppose..I do feel a bit spontaneous."
He gave a knowing smile. "I assume that it went all well with miss Luna then?"
I walk and pull out a chair; feeling Felix's eyes watching me.
Though my mind drifts to Luna staring up at me, with the light gently caressing her skin, and with the look of her soft glint in her eye that reminds me of a lost jewel.
I'm well aware that thinking of her like this is surely not healthy and will only be a distraction. But I cannot help myself! Something sparks inside of me when she's near.
I shake my head trying to rid these foolish thoughts of mine.
Right..She's just another villain that's beneath me.
Realizing that I have yet to answer Felix's question I take this time to give him my answer. "yes, I got her to accept my proposal."
Felix lets out a small hum with a small smile.
I look away shaking my head. Why does he seem so Pleased?
"Hm..well if you don't mind me asking, sir. But why exactly did you request Luna for an ally again?" He pauses, "I know there were more options than her."
I hesitated.
"Well she's a well known villain, she's actually quite strong and clever when it comes to combat..and...and.." I trail off, causing Felix to tilt his head.
My eyes focused on what was outside the window.
I slowly walk to the window and unlock the latch before opening it; the wind gracefully greeted me while doing so.
"Felix..." I call.
"Yes, sir?"
"Get the car."
"On it, sir."
The sound of footsteps echoes across the room before the door shut, telling me that Felix left.
My eyes linger on the black smoke in the sky trailing from the city. ...this is going to be interesting.
~~~~~~

The car comes to a stop.

"We're..we're here, sir."

I let out a small hum of acknowledgement. We were just a couple yards from some apartments that were on fire. The flames dancing with the wind refused to die; while the sound of sirens makes its presence known.

I opened the car; my boots made contact with the rubble on the ground.

I recognize this apartment..

I let out a humorless laugh.

This is my Rival's lover's apartment! Someone Really did it!

Daiki better Pray that she's not inside the building still!

I had kept close tabs on the place just in case, but I hadn't expected someone to set the place on flames.

I watched with a big smile on my face as firefighters try and extinguish the flames as some run inside checking for survivors.

I turned and knocked on the front driver's window of my car.

"You can go now. I'll call you when I'm done, Felix."

Felix gave me an uncertain look but follows my directions nonetheless. I look back at the scene that was slowly unfolding; just in time to catch Daiki's lover being brought out on a cot bed; burn marks all of her, looking close to death.

She sure is in bad shape. I wonder how the 'hero' will react to this.

As if on cue, Daiki sprints past me and to his lover.

"MALIA!" He cries, his hands trembling over her cheeks. "Y-you're going to be alright! I'll m-make sure you'll make it through this! J-just Stay with me! Please!"

Watching from afar, I carefully placed my hands behind my back simply observing.

Streams of tears run down the hero's cheeks as he tells his lover that everything is going to be alright. Not too long later he was ushered away by some doctors.

The doctor loaded Malia up into an ambulance car while the hero painfully obliged to stand by and watch.

Then the doctors pack up and leave.

"..." The hero's eyes narrowed at the ground now, his hands clenched into fists; his entire body slightly shaking as tears still run down his cheeks.

The flames on the apartment were now long gone, the firefighters successful in defeating them.

Now all that was left was me and him.

"hm.." I tilt my head slightly; debating my next move.

Daiki's head snaps up and he turns in my direction. His eyes widen slightly before they narrowed, anger and hate filling them.

"You." He growls, slowly approaching me. "Did you do this!?"

"Now, let me explain. This is just a coincidenc-"

"LIAR!"

he didn't give me a chance to react as he wrapped his hands around my throat and slammed me against the ground; basically knocking the breath out of me.

"I'LL MAKE YOU PAY FOR WHAT YOU DONE, KAITO!" his hands squeezed around my throat.

I let out a laugh as he choked me, carefully sneaking my hand to find my blade.

"I didn't do anything. Listen I just happened to be here when it did." I smirked.

"YOU'RE A LAIR! YOU'VE ALWAYS BEEN ONE!" he spat. "I'll Murder you for what you've done! She didn't Deserve that!"

"how amusing. I thought killing wasn't in your nature," I mused "And you say we're not alike"

black starts filling my vision. I don't have a lot of time left. I need to get him off of me.

"We're nothing Alik!-" He gets cut off by the stab wound that I inflicted into his side. blood makes its way down his lips..
