"NO! No, I don't know her," I say, scowling at Amanda. I can tell by the way she squints and raises an eyebrow that she has suspicions that I'm up to something; and she's right. By tomorrow afternoon I plan to be out of this unknown location and back to my normal high school life... And I was definitely not bringing anyone with me... especially a girl. Everyone knows I work alone, but Amanda, she's different. She knows I'm doing something and she'll try her hardest to find out what it is.
