My teacher handed me back my test, and not to my surprise, I got a D. I sighed and put my head down, tuning out every word the teacher was saying about the test.

When lunch time came around, I realised I left my wallet at home, so I couldn't eat anything. I just sat at a random picnic table and scrolled through my phone.

P.E is my least favorite subject. I hate the shorts they make us wear, they make me feel so exposed. It's not too far from the truth, either. People stare at me the whole period, whether it's judgementful or not, I still feel really uncomftorable.

"(Name), we're gonna go get food with Alahna, wanna come?"

The triplets and I were walking to the parking lot to get in our cars. I didn't really feel like going out right now because of the day I had, so I turned down their offer.

"Ah, no thanks. I'm still full from lunch. And I have to study for a test coming up."

They shrug and wave goodbye before going to their car. I unlocked my car and got inside, driving home. I immedietly went to the kitchen and started eating something. I was so hungry after skipping lunch.

Maybe twenty minutes have passed since I got back home, and I was just sitting on my couch watching cartoons. That's when I heard my phone ringing.

I picked it up and saw the caller. 'Alahna✌︎' Seeing the name made me smile. I answered it, seeing her face pop up on the screen.

"Hey, (nickname)! I was just wondering how you're doing, the boys told me you didn't wanna eat with us. You okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. I just had a rough day, so I wanted some alone time. You having fun, though?"

Her expression changed a bit at hearing that I had a bad day. Then Nick came into frame and waved at me, popping a chicken nugget into his mouth. I laugh and wave back at him.

"Yeah, I'm having a good time. If you're okay, then I'll let you get back to your alone time. Seeya, (nickname)."

I smile and wave goodbye to her before hanging up and going back to watching cartoons. A few hours past and it was now dark out, so I turned off the tv and went to my bed to sleep.

When I woke up the next mroning, I looked at my phone and saw a text from Alahna. I checked it and smiled. She told me to meet her in front of the school before first period.

I got ready as usual and drove to school, walking to the court yard with my bag on my shoulder. When I got there, I saw Alahna and the triplets talking and having fun. I walk up to them, waving.

"(Name)!!"

Nick yelled and gave me a big hug, which I happily recipricated. Chris and Matt gave me hugs as well, and then I looked at Alahna. She had a huge smile on her face and her arms were behind her back.

"What are you hiding?"

"Oh, just a little something I got for you yesterday."

I looked at her confused before she revealed what she was hiding. She was holding out a small dinosaur stuffed animal, a proud smile on her face.

"You got this for me? It's so cute. Why did you get it, though?"

I grabbed the dino from her hands, feeling a mixture of happiness and confusion.

"Well because you had a bad day. I thought that if you had this with you, it would cheer you up if anything goes wrong."

My heart nearly jumped out of my chest and gave her a hug for itself. I couldn't believe she got this for me just because I said I had a rough day last night.

"Alahna.. thank you so much."

I wrapped my arms around her shoulders, giving her the most genuine hug I could. I want her to know that this means so much to me.

"Of course, (nickname)."

»fast forward time»

As I was packing my boxes for college, I came across a small green dino hiding underneath one of my sweaters in my closet. Seeing him again made me so happy, since I got him from my best friend.

I placed him in one of my boxes labeled 'fragile' so he can have a safe and comfy ride. I tape up the box and set it in the backseat of my car, almost ready to go.

Just as I finished getting everything in my car, I saw the triplets' car pull up. They all hopped out, along with Alahna. I smiled as they all came over to me with open arms.

"WE'RE GONNA MISS YOU, (NAME)!"

"I'm gonna miss you guys, too."

I hugged them all back, a few tears forming in my eyes. When we all pulled away from the group hug, I gave them all their own hug. Then I came to Alahna. She looked sad.

"Hey, It'll be okay, Alahna. I'll visit all the time, I promise."

She smiled at me, a few tears leaving her eyes. I hugged her like it was the last time I would ever hug her. She relaxed in my arms, staying there for a moment.

"Thank you so much, Alahna."

"For what?"

"..For everything."

She tightened her grip on me, a few sniffles coming from her. I could tell she started crying more.

"Of course, (nickname)."
