"I'm sorry I couldn't tell you in advance." Navier lightly bows her head, but her ladies-in-waiting are quick to interfere.

"There's no need to apologize. I'm happy for you." Countess Eliza smiles

"It was immensely satisfying to see!" Countess Joubert adds

"I was so upset when you accepted the divorce without any objections!" Laura concludes, bright smiles on all their faces.

"I've made up my mind! I'm going to tell my family I'm going off to study abroad and I'll accompany you to the western Kingdom!"

"Laura, thats.."

"Queens need Ladies-in-waiting as well!~✿"

You smile at the ginger's loyalty towards the Empress, throwing her a supportive wink and a thumbs up. She was young, it would be nice if she were to be independent now.

"In that case, Laura and I can both join you." Countess Joubert adds, seemingly just as unbothered with her decision.

"The Empr— Former Empress spent her entire life studying and disciplining herself to make sure our Empire will face a bright future, and now all those years of efforts are thrown out. But now, she sees an opportunity to continue using all her knowledge instead of wasting it away for the rest if her years, so she takes it."

Ignoring the noises of protests and the children who cry out for you, you step down the table with a smile, "We'll create new fond memories again when fate allows it."
