(Alex POV) ~
Pheww~ that was a close fight. If I hadn't held back enough, I could have hurt them bad. Both Percy and Annabeth were looking at me like I was some weirdo.
"What?", I asked, "Where did you learn to fight like that?" "I learnt judo and taekwondo when I was little", I answered Annabeth curtly.
"Hmmm..well I know that I want you both in my team in the upcoming game" "What game?", Percy asked, "You will know anyway lets continue".
She showed us a few more places: the metal shop (where kids were forging their own swords), the arts-and-crafts room (where satyrs were sandblasting a giant marble statue of a goat-man), and the climbing wall, which consisted of two facing walls that shook violently, dropped boulders, sprayed lava, and clashed together if you didn't get to the top fast enough. I tried it a few times and nailed it every single time.
Finally, we returned to the canoeing lake, where the trail led back to the cabins.
"I've got training to do," Annabeth said flatly. "Dinner's at seven-thirty. Just follow your cabin to the mess hall."
"Sure, don't miss me too much Pikachu", I teased her a bit. She did not say anything but looked at both of us.
"You both need to talk to the Oracle," Annabeth said.
"No, most prophecies she gives are weird and really complicated", I replied.
"Or maybe you are just an idiot who can't understand simple riddles", She sassed.
"Oi, oi myths always said that they were downright confusing, anyway why should we talk to her?", I asked trying to change the topic.
"Changing the topic, well I guess its ok, you both should talk to her to get a que-wait what are you doing Percy?", we saw Percy looking at two teenage girls sitting cross-legged at the base of the pier, about twenty feet below. They wore blue jeans and shimmering green T-shirts, and their brown hair floated loose around their shoulders as minnows darted in and out. They smiled and waved at Percy while looked at me and started giggling and blushing. I also waved back awkwardly while Percy was a bit red.
"Don't encourage them," Annabeth warned. "Naiads are terrible flirts.", while dragging me away.
"Hey! Stop it we'll leave Percy behind"
"He is right behind you", I looked back and saw him in a daze.
"Naiads," he repeated, feeling completely overwhelmed. "That's it. I want to go home now."
Guess he blew his fuse.
Annabeth frowned. "Don't you get it, Percy? You are home. This is the only safe place on earth for kids like us."
"You mean, mentally disturbed kids?", Percy growled back.
"I mean not human. Not totally human, anyway. Half-human."
Half-human and half-what?"
"I think you know."
He frowned and thought to himself, he looked like a person in denial, he did not want to admit it but still did, "Half-god"
Annabeth nodded. "Your father isn't dead, Percy. He's one of the Olympians."
"So is mine Percy, its hard but we have to admit it and accept it".
"That's ... crazy.", he muttered in disbelief.
"Is it? What's the most common thing gods did in the old stories? They ran around falling in love with humans and having kids with them. Do you think they've changed their habits in the last few millennia?", Annabeth replied back.
