She just did it!
She freaking did it!
Lilyana freaking Jane just did that dare!
Everyone was silent in the hall.
For a good five minutes, no one spoke.
No one breathed.
Everyone was silent until someone clapped and another until it turned to a full-blown clap around the hall.
People cheered her for her courageous act, and I was dumbfounded.
Everyone in the room was dumbfounded.
All of us in the room looked at Addy, and we watched his every expression.
But the boy didn't even change his expression from that stoic look he had.
Our piercing gaze on the boy was interrupted when Lilyana entered the room.
Everyone was silent, watching her as she moved to her respective seat. Our gaze only wavered when she sat down.
"Damn!" Killian started, "that was wicked!".
Everyone praised her for her stunt.
That was too brave of her. I won't object to that.
"Next round. Oh, I love this game!" Killian said, getting into his serious mode.
And that was when I realized.
Suppose the game was just as Lilyana just did. I'm in for deep shit.
My heartbeat increased by the second. Slowly, the bottle went. It passed through Indigo, then.
Me!
I started panicking. I didn't want to do this game. I found myself about to opt out of the game when.
The bottle moved and stopped at Amancia.
Thank you, Jesus.
Unfortunately for her, she was the doer, and Alejandro was the asker.
I recalled when I saw Amancia laughing at her friend's doom. When they say karma's real, it's real, and when they say it's a bitch, it is a full-time bitch.
"Truth or dare?" Alejandro asked, wearing that smug smile.
He whispered a 'choose dare' loudly for everyone to hear.
Amancia shook her head and nervously twirled her fingers, "truth...".
She did not want to suffer any embarrassment in her junior year. I could understand.
Alejandro didn't like her choice, but he dipped his hands into the bowl of truth and read aloud, "Who would you like to kiss in this room?".
All eyes penetrated deep into her soul as they awaited her choice.
She looked like she was debating.
"Can I pick two?"
Two?
And here I thought the girl was being nervous.
"Two? Wow..." he said, not hiding his shock at her words, "I guess you can."
"Um... Addy and Killian"
What is in this Addy that girl's like about?
Was it the way he walked?
The way he talked?
The way he played on the field?
Or, how smart was he generally?
