Y/n's POV:

The next few months were similar to each other. Not much changed, but I liked it that way.

But on the downside, I'd continuously have dreams that were... weird. Some nights I'd dream about William, or about the animatronics being possessed again, or about something happening to the new pizzeria; it almost felt as if the dreams meant something.

But they didn't. Everything was fine.

At least... for now.

Michael's POV:

"Ah, this is a nice way to spend a Wednesday afternoon," I sighed with satisfaction, resting on the couch as I draped an arm around y/n's shoulders. "It's nice to have you home."

"You mean because I was actually at work, doing my job?"

"Well, yeah–"

"Y'know, Michael... you should really stop slacking off," she interrupted. "You've missed work nearly every other day the past few weeks."

"I've called in and explained that I've just been helping my uncle out," I assured her.

"Oh yeah, for sure. You're definitely helping your uncle out right now."

"Oh please, I've been helping him out probably ninety percent of the time that I call in."

"You do realize that's being dishonest, right?"

"Since when do you care so much about me telling the truth about missing work?"

"I just don't want your boss to get mad at you, that's all."

"If she were mad at me for missing work, she would've mentioned something about it by now," I told her. "My boss isn't crazy strict like yours."

"If I were a boss and my employee skipped work as much as you for two weeks straight I'd probably fire them."

"Well, you're not my boss."

"All I'm saying is that you should probably start going to work more."

"I know, I know. But I'd rather help Henry."

"I know going to work isn't your first choice," she said. "But it's just a part of life."

I groaned.

"You're not a kid, Michael. You have to start taking your responsibilities seriously," she insisted.

"Are you saying I'm not responsible?" I scoffed, pretending to be offended.

"Well, maybe a little bit," she teased.

"Aw, come on, you're so lame," I groaned.

"I'm just doing you a favor, that's all," she said with a wink.

"Alright, alright, fine," I said. "I'll go back to work tomorrow. Happy?"

"Very."

"Oh I see how it is; you want me gone," I teased.

"Shut up, that's not what I mean," she said, playfully punching me in the shoulder. "I just don't want you becoming jobless."

"Don't worry, that's not gonna happen. I'm not gonna get fired over something like this."

"You're fired."

"What?!"
