POV: Third Person

Megamind could barely control the thoughts in his head- confusion, hope, joy- until he remembered... 'Metroman is replacing me with another villain'. His face dropped, his eyes rolled back and continued to look at the city scape, "oh... Metroman", he answered as the man next to him settled himself next to him on the ledge of the building.

"Hey little budd-", Metroman started as he reached his hand out to pat Megamind's head, only to be swatted away by him.

"I'm not little", he protested, only gaining a small chuckle from Metroman.

"What are you doing up here?", he asked, admiring the beautiful city, he was so fond of.

"What am i-?! What are you doing up here?", Megamind flipped the question, slightly irritated that his alone time was interrupted.

"well I-...." he was quite confused himself why he was up here, "I'm here to keep you company".

Megamind, glanced at the man beside him who was smiling gallantly, as if being up here with him was an "act of service".  He only sighed deeply knowing that being up here with him would only be a sign of pity, "I don't need your company" he lied, looking away from the man, "Shouldn't you be fighting some other villain, saving any person who calls out for help, anyway".

"He's not here", he said simply. The blue skinned villain beside him, he huffed in amusement, "He isn't here? Well, Metroman, seems like you have been demoted to taking on 'so-called -villains' who takes breaks".

"Aren't you on a break-?"

"No, I'd never take a break! If you must know, I'm retir-", he was interrupted by a crashing sound, as two cars bellow him collided.

Metroman cursed to himself, getting up from his seat, "Ah! I'm so sorry, I need to stop this" he said hurriedly, as flames started to spread. 

"Oh..." Megamind mumbled, quite upset that he had to go, but quick goodbye, he was gone and Megamind was alone again.
