Could it be?

Chapter 1

A black short dress, some high heels, my hair in a half ponytail with some curls, my makeup is done and I'm ready to go, I just want to get it over with. I never thought that I would actually go, but why not? Get to catch up with some of my old friends and see how they are.
I hear a knock on the door, who could it be? Nobody knows I'm in town and going to visit. I walk out my bedroom slowly, down the stairs and into the living room. I hear them knock again, my heart is pounding by now.
"Who is it?" I managed to say as I stand next to the door.
"Open up," I heard the voice say. I'm confused, it's not a male voice... And it's a voice I recognize.. But who could it be?
I open the door little by little only to my surprise to see my good old friend, Zoe. As soon as I saw her, I felt a relieve all over my body, and hugged her.
"How did you know I was going to be here??" I asked as we pulled away from the hug.
"I knew that you would come. You always said that if this ever happened, you weren't going to come, but knowing you, I knew you would," she says. "Are you ready to go and party?" She asked as we moved into the living room.
"Yeah, one second. I need to go get my coat and we can leave," I said as I walked up the stair and rushed to my room to get my coat and hurried up.
"Zoe, can I just say that you look beautiful," I say as I finish walking down the stairs. She smiled and I could see her blushing. She didn't change one bit. She has always been a skinny girl with beautiful eyes, and her dress was amazing. It was a short red dress, with diamond running through the waist. I got kinda jealous at times, she always managed to look flawless; something I always wanted and wished I had.
"Thank you, you look amazingly gorgeous." she said with excitement in her tone.
"Thank you," I managed to say. "Well, let's go, we don't want to be the last ones there right?" I asked as we got out and locked the door. Something told me it was going to be an alright night. And I hope it goes like that.
