You don't really remember how you got involved with Hydra in the first place

You knew you had a life and home before them but were not sure what exactly it entailed

All you knew was it had to be better than Hydra

It was dingy and cold, and the concrete walls and floors constantly oozed water and mud, Hydra didn't bother to put you in a room because the mix of serums in your blood prevented anything too bad. You could get the flu or the common cold but nothing really beyond that.

You stared at the ceiling remembering the last interaction you had with someone. A few years ago a Black Widow agent had stopped by, she had long black hair and dark eyes. She said she would trade her blood for cover and supplies.

what was so special about her blood?

Apparently a lot,  she had different form of the super-soldier serum injected into her body at a young age because Drakov found her promising.

They took her blood and mixed it with the remaining ounces they had of soldier serum from Captain America's experiment years ago

The mix was volatile and burned to the touch. This meant that not just anyone could take it, so immediately all heads turned to you.

They knew no one else could take it, or really want it.

It felt like you're whole body was on fire, like someone had filled your veins with gasoline and then dropped a lit match down your throat. You were strapped down to a table so that you couldn't run, all you could do was scream and yank at the restraints until your wrists were raw. They took you back to your cell so they didn't have to listen to you.

It took hours for the serum to settle and your body to return to normal.

When it finally did settle down you became aware of how you felt. Your body was coated in a cold sweat and your face was stained from your tears. Again.

Over and over and over again. you didn't know how long this cycle had been going on, you can't even remember how long you had been there. You had lost track of how many times you were strapped to this stupid table and left to scream your lungs out.

You couldn't deal with it anymore, there had to be a way out.

You tugged at the restraints like the many many times before this, with the small sliver of hope and anticipation to see if you had the strength this time to break them

And for the first time, you cried happy tears as the restraints came undone. The serum worked.

You hopped off the table and ran, dopped up on hope and adrenaline you didn't even let the bars that held you in the cell stop you. You tugged at them with all your strength and to your surprise they budged, only just enough to create a gap your malnourished body could fit through, you saw an opportunity and like hell, if you weren't going to take it.

You glanced around only to see darkness, no guards, no scientists, just dark. You took a few steps to the nearest corner and peeked around it. To your surprise, there was something there. It was a green ball of light, it looked like a star straight out of the sky with its brightness twinkling and shifting as if it was a living breathing thing. You couldn't help but stare at it, it relinquished a sense of calm that you had never felt before. You wanted to know more about the star, you wanted to touch it. You approached it at a zombie-like speed as if it had hypnotized you to into walking towards it.

after what seemed like hours you approached the light slowly reaching your hand out in curiosity. although the glowing orb had no features or indicators of which way it was looking you could sense it turned to face you. You had no idea if you had locked eyes with it until a cold chill went down your spine.

The orb flashed filling the room with a bright light rendering you unable to see or hear a thing except for one word that rang through the room in a menacing whisper
